Oh that's a great story and NSV. I keep coming back to the boards (like too many times a day....) because I get sleeved on the 27th and I cannot WAIT to have a story like this of my own. Of course, I'm not a newlywed nor do I have a boyfriend but just any ole story about feeling good about my body will do. Congratulations to you! (and your hubby, haha) Keep us all posted! and please keep me in your thoughts on the 27th. With much aloha, Lulu

    Introduction

Welcome! Your surgery is also the day before mine. I am so ready to start continue this journey. Let's keep in touch for support during the few weeks post-op that can be challenging from what I've read. Best of luck and aloha, Lulu
  7. I posted this on OH as well but looking for comments/answers: I know I am obsessive about reading posts and "getting prepared" and now that I have a surgery date - I am actually getting a bit freaked out. I did NOT think this would happen. I am ready for the major changes, the adjustments to my life and all of that but just now at this moment (as I am drinking my third glass of sauvignon blanc) I am getting just the teensy-est bit WIGGED OUT. I have a six year old (I am 46) and I am curious if any of you wrote letters to your kids or loved ones before surgery? I honestly do not think anything is going to go wrong and have given it up to my "higher power" that I will get through the surgery without a hitch BUT am feeling conflicted with the choice of writing a note to my lovely daughter 'just in case.' Any words from post-ops would be greatly appreciated. Mahalo, Lulu
  8. I am so excited and psyched and ready and anxious and happy and nervous and, well, you get the picture. Thank you to everyone out here that posts and responds and has given me so much information that I feel very well prepared for all that is to come. I welcome it with open arms. I will keep you posted and will definitely be coming back for ongoing support. Mahalo and aloha, Lulu
  9. Aloha, I am scheduled to have Gastric Bypass in July and have done soooo much investigating that I want to switch to Sleeve surgery. Has anyone does this? How did it go over with insurance company? Thank you, Lulu
