  1. To me, if you are saving your old clothes that dont fit you anymore its because your thinking of going back to those days and maybe fitting into to them. get rid of them and kiss those days good bye for good. Jus my opinion
  2. good luck hope u enjoy the forums as much as i have
  3. Mine is june 30th also and I stopped telling people when i started getting negative feed back. The only people that know is immediate family, a couple of close friends and thats about it.. Good luck with your surgery I look fwd to hearing about you successes
  4. Im being banded on june 30 with dr ortiz. there is a lot of information onhim on the web (all positive) i havent found anything negative.. he also has you tube videos talking about concerns people have with surgery and real patients telling their stories in their hospital beds.. Good luck hope this helps
  5. From what I know, I dont think it affects pregnancy too much, you can get unfilled to eat more for you and the baby, my cousin was pregnant and had the lap band and she didnt seem to have any trouble...
  6. Hey whos ur surgeon. I am on day one but mine wasnt so bad except for the fact that i have finals this week and wanted to munch on stuff as i studied but i resisted. I figure id better start getting used to it now.. You can do it just try to get through it one day at a time. I think to myself "just for today" and it seems to work
  7. I haven't been banded [yet] but i have been doing a lot of research and from what i have read the band is more work than doing it "the old fashioned way" it takes much more discipline and people don't understand that the weight doesn't magically come off, you have to work with your band for it to work for you... I have gotten negative feedback from people who i told i was going to get banded, so i stopped telling people, I don't need/like negative energy, I just tell people who are on a need-2-know basis like my family and really close friends, which fortunately were all understanding. Keep up your good work and try not to let the negativity affect you.
  8. Ill be banded June 30, I start my pre-op diet tomorrow.. I'm nervous but my excitement over powers my nervousness Good luck to everyone can't wait to read your updates about your successes.
