    Wrong decision?

I'm really new to this site, so I hope I'm responding to the right person (I think the user name was Kimmie). I am experiencing people telling me I don't need the surgery, but I strongly beg to differ. I am 5'2", 216 lbs., BMI: 34.6. No one knows my journey with food and weight loss better than me. I am awaiting final approval from my insurance company and because I do not have any co-morbid issues documented per se, they are on the verge of denying me. I am beginning to question whether I should be doing this and would this decision be considered drastic. With the amount of money I've spent on diets, gyms, and supplements, I may as well go with the procedure and obtain last effects. My other issue is my hubby does not want me doing it, but he's not walking in my shoes and does not know how uncomfortable I am right now. I am glad to see posts of people that have similar circumstances (quote/unquote), of not being "big enough". I am almost to a point of trying to come up with the money to have it done on my own. Would that appear drastic? Nevertheless, thanks for your post and the transparency this site offers.
  2. Hi there! I have to ask, because I am experiencing the nay-sayers too, telling me that I'm not big enough to consider the procedure. I am 5ft. 2", weighing 216 lbs. BMI 34.6 and unfortunately my insurance UHC in Dallas, is giving me the runaround. What did you do to overcome that obstacle, or did you experience that considering your BMI is lower than mine?

    About Me - First Post

I am inspired and can truly relate to your story. I am 39, divorced and now re-married to a wonderful man, who loves God and loves me unconditionally, but unfortunately, I have that same vice for food. Our journeys appear similar. I am excited for your embarking on this journey and will definitely keep up with your blogs. I am attempting for a 2nd time the procedure, but currently having to jump through several hoops with my insurance company. Stay encouraged and focused, and may God bless you in this endeavor.
