After 30 years of yo yo diets - then just gain back the weight plus more I was very frustrated to say the least! In 2009 my son and his wife had a beautiful baby boy and I knew I had to do something about my health- Diabetic - overweight. I excersied 6 days a week for 45 minutes and started to see a change in weight THEN went on vacation and went right back to old habits although I continued to excercise the weight crept back on.  I have friends who have had the lapband within the last 3 years and look amazing so I started asking questions.... I was on Facebook one evening and saw an ad for TRUE RESULTS - I filled out their form and started the process. After going thru the 3 month BCBS Process (although it is now a 6mth process) My insurance does not cover the lapband because my employer has an exclusion for any weight loss surgery. My wonderful husband said we will pay for it ourselves if this is what you really want - AND YES THIS IS WHAT I REALLY WANT. - My mother had Gastric bypass and after 5 years I see her starting to eat more etc plus it is too invasive for me. Sadly a freind of mine passed away 2 weeks after her gasric bypass due to complications (her heart)  I did a tremendous amount of research on all 3 weight loss surgeries and the lap band is for me.  I am so excited to start my permanant weight loss journey
