I have been trying for several years to get the Lapband. At first my insurance would not pay for the Lapband, then when they did start I had lost weight on diet pills and I was told that I would have to wait until 2011 before I could qualify for the surgery. I had to do 7 months under the care of my doctor before BCBS would consider me for the surgery. So after all the paperwork was submitted, I was scheduled for surgery on May 26, 2011.
