Tortilla Pizza?
The first time I ate pizza I could only eat 3/4's of a square slice....then it got stuck and I puked. I thought "man I will NEVER eat pizza again" but then I tried it again tonight. I at the ultra thin crust, ate it really really slowly and chewed alot and could eat a slice. I feel pretty good, nothing is stuck and i'm not puking....so eventually you will be ok. OH YEAH. My pizza only had a tiny bit of cheese sauce and three mushrooms so nothing really heavy for toppings.

B12 question
I use one that disolves right on the tongue like a breath strip. It is made by Jamieson and it tastes exactly like a breath strip, so after you take it your breath is minty fresh! I like it alot. For calcium I take those chocolaty chews and for my multi vitamin I take two gummy vitamins. For me my vitamins daily are like a sweet treat and I actually look forward to taking my vitamins everyday!!! Hope that helps

People judging what I eat...
tell them that your doctor put you on a special diet that is just for you and is being over looked by a nutritionist (this is not technically a lie) tell them that you are on 5 small meals a day and plenty of liquid and since you need your proteins you have your liquid shakes to boost your protein and yeah you wish you could eat more but the diet is definately working and since it's coming from your doc and a nut then hey they can't be wrong...then jokingly ask "so I didn't know you guys completed your medical school....great job" Make them shut up a little bit. Everyone thinks they are an authority on diet and excercise because they watch doctor oz and the doctors......

wine, cup of coffee
I'm 8 weeks out and I went to mass this morning and took holy communion with the wine and just one sip made me feel like I would vomit. I was uncomfortable for about half an hour and then it passed. I actually had the hot flash and spinning head, crazy after just one sip! Of course I was never really a drinker before so that probably explains it. I find the foods I ate alot of before I can tolerate just fine now (salad). When Most people eat salad at my stage they say the lettuce doesn't agree with them but it does me just fine. I have always had a difficult time tolerating coffee and I tried a cold coffee the other day and it too made me feel bad. So maybe if you drank socially before and tolerated your alchohal before you will be ok....just a guess.

I Don't Know What to Eat?
I'm seven weeks out too and it's been difficult but it's like taste here and taste there and see how it goes. I'm a salad LOVER. Not being able to eat salad the past few weeks was horrible. So I decided last week to give a nibble and it went down just fine and I'm eating it with no problem (some people can't eat salad until a few months after surgery but it all depends on the person). Tonight I made braised lamb shank so it was nice a juicy and fell right off the bone, fork tender and went down smooth. I have been eating deviled eggs (made with greek yougurt and fat free mayo), peperoni sticks made from turkey (chew chew chew), cheese sticks, roasted veggies (eggplant, zucchini, asparagus , put on a baking sheet lined with foil and spray the foil with non stick spray, place the sliced veg on the foil, use a pastry brush and brush on olive oil infused with chopped garlic, sprinkle with salt and put in the oven for 12 minutes or until brown at 450 degrees) I have been eating lots of chili and Pasta fagoli....and yes I'm keeping the carbs low, under 40 grams per day and I'm not getting in enough Protein but I just can't do those shakes, they make me gag. I ate rice for a bit but I was in a 4 week stall and I began to eliminate the carbs and DRINK DRINK DRINK. The stall went away and I lost another 5 pounds like magic. Make sure you keep your carbs low, you drink over the 1.5 litre limit (go 3 litres if you can squeeze it in) eat your yougurt, cottage cheese, and fat free or low fat dairy and TAKE YOUR VITAMINES. Make sure you get your protein in first but don't skip your veggies either......I hope this helps:) Also I began walking with five pound dumbells in each hand to avoid loose skin. oh yeah I almost forgot.....DRINK DRINK DRINK!

Is this Normal???
i was always calling my doctor asking about this same thing and yes it is normal. I would agree with amanda that it's not really hunger but acid and to take an anti acid or ppi. Don't worry once you start eating soft solids or solid foods you will definately feel the restriction and then your biggest problem will be how to know when you are indeed full! It's all a learning process and you will learn and YOU WILL LOSE!

Having a super difficult time eating SLOWLY!!!!!!!
I'm having such a difficult time eating slowly. I just want to gobble like I did before and I end up eating super fast and it comes right back out. This has been happening since I started soft foods and I'm getting so depressed, I just can't take a half hour to eat half a cup of food. My jaw gets tired of chewing and then my mind is craving the next bite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it ok to try to get pregnant at 4 months out?
Um I think it would be best for your health and the health of your child to wait at least a year. You have to make sure you can get the optimal nutrients to your baby and for your own sake as well because the baby will drain everything from you, I also did the surgery for this purpose but it is best to wait it out a bit for your sake and the sake of your child. You were only sleeved in April. I know it's hard to wait but it's worth the wait to see your beautiful HEALTHY baby in your arms that you can kiss and hug....*sigh* I can't wait for that day either!!!!!

Also, the ass is not flat, it's the baby tummy that creates the illusion that the ass is flat or places emphasis on the smallish bottom. You look good.
