Hello I am looking for anyone who has gotten the lapband to loose 50 pounds, I am 5'5 weight 204 pounds My BMI is a 33.9 I have been over weight for the past 7 years, After a whole 1 1/2 year (16 months) I finally got approve, I was denied the first time, then the 2nd time I got approve, I am excited and bless, however I feel so confused dont have no support, all my family is against me getting the lapband , telling me I am crazy, to get that just to loose 50 pounds, I have excercise, eating healty, diet pills and once I get tired of dieting it all comes back, I LOVE food, I love to cook for my family, love having family over and bbq, and love to go out for dinner with my family, however It just freaks me out, that you can have nothing, after you get the band, It freaks me out, to know I have to chew chew and chew everything so it will go down one thing i hate is puking food, , I love steak I have heard you can even have that! or Pasta or pizza, I also love to drink beer, dont know just so confused IF ANYONE OUT THERE COULD PLEASE GIVE ME AND ADVICE Thanks -
I had a bad day today, I was doing good, but got stuck on something earlier and been throwing up, do I have to go back on liquids?

Is it bad to eat right after a fill? I had my fill 5 hours ago, AND I AM HUNGRY!!!!! OK not hungry but starving, !!! What happens if you eat? has anyone had something to eat right after a fill?

Has Anyone Ever Been Prescriped Phentermine In Addition To Their Fill?

Wow, I thought I was the only one, Yes My Dr told me a couple of weeks ago, that he will like for me to start on Phentermine,!!! Like hello what was the whole point of me getting the lapband then I got banded in June of 2011, I have never been in the Green Zone, I am Either on Yellow or Red I have had a total of 15 fills !!! Yes 15 2 of them have been Unfill's, because I couldn't even pass my own saliva I have lost a total of 20 pounds, However that is not a sucses to me because 15 of them 20 I lost in 2 weeks because I was so tight I couldnt even keep liquids down, "But get this he tells me well you have lost 20 pounds" Like yes I have because I could'nt eat for 2 weeks, I am so tired of this crap!! Every time I get a fill, I dont feel hungry but only for 1 week after the week the hunger comes back !! It is so Irritating, I have the 14 cc band, and I now have 10 cc, I was at 10.75 last week but was too tight! What is the reason your Dr whants to put you on Phentermine? -
Is it bad if you eat after a fill, I got a fill 5 hrs ago, and I am starving!!!!!!!!!!!

after having this tool on me for 10 months and not working for me My Dr tells me to try PHENTEMINE like hello I have done phentermine in the past and it did not work for me, !!!! that was the whole point of me getting this stupid band

I don't get it, somedays I could eat everything and some days I can even swallow my own saliva, so tired of it!!!! regret gettint this freaken ban!!!

seen my Dr yesterday he took out 1 cc out of my band, boy what a relief no more back pain or chest pain, or noise coming out of my chest at night, and I finally could drink water with out it coming right back up!!

told the nurse at my Dr's office that I canot eat meat because it gets stuck, and this is what she told me "chew it suck the juice and spit it out dont swallow it" WTF that is Bulimia does any one here does that?

When will I ever be on the Green zone, either I'm at Yellow or Red!!! and now to top it of I have the worst back pain ever!! since my last fill, can even keep liquids down~!!!!!! I ask my self when when when will I ever be in the greez zone!

OMG Finally my Fluoro is today!, I am excited and nervous at the same time, I honestly hope they dont tell me I need a nother freaken fill, there is no way, I could barely eat! But any how, hopefully they will tell me what is wrong with my band why is it not working.

Wow you were at 13cc on your 14cc band I to have the 14 cc band, got my band 8 months ago, I have 10.75 cc on my band now and I have only lost 10 pounds Yes only 10 freaken pounds in 8 months!! there is time when I could eat really good, like if I did not have a band and there is time, when I canot eat anything!!! So tired of this, I have never been in that sweet spot that people talk about I am always hungry!!

Finally having A Fluoro On Monday, I pray this is the solution as to why the labpand is not working for me!!

I am so confused on this whole lapband, I could finish my whole meal as long as I chew really good , but yet sometimes I can eat nothing will go down and I vomit everything or get stuck I am now at 10.75 cc 7 months out and only 10 pounds lost, I never hade met the sweet spot i am always hungry and sometimes even misrable because I can eat!!!

I got my Band on June 27th 2011, (6 months ago) I am a low BMI'er, Only need to loose 55 pounds My Dr decided to put in me the 14cc band, (the large band, I honestly think , that is one of the reasons why I have not met the sweet spot yet) I have had a total of 9 fills in 6 months, I am now at 10.75 in my 14 cc band, AND NO SWEET SPOT YET!!! It is so frustrated!!! I hope I get there!! I have only lost 5 pounds in 6 months, my last fill I couldnt eat for like a week nothing will go down, the next 2 weeks I thought I was in my sweet spot because I was never hungry but that only lasted 2 weeks, and then hunger came back, I am always hungry I could finish my whole plate as long as I chew chew chew, I dont get full. I really hope and pray that I get to the sweet spot. -
Going for a fill tomorrow, I remember being excited and looking foward for a fill, after 9 fills and being at 10.5 and not loosing anyweight really makes me not feel excited any more, sometimes I am so over this some days I could eat somedays I can even drink water, I have never met that sweet spot that people talk about I'm always hungry!

I was banded on 6/27/2011 and to this day have only lost 5 pounds (But only because I was not able to keep anything down for 2 weeks) I have never met "the sweet spot" I either could eat to much or sometimes I canot eat at all, it now has been six months since I got my band 8 fills now to a total of 10.5 cc on my 14 cc band -
Happy Holidays, Consider your self lucky and blessed I am 6 months out and no weight lost what so ever I am now at a total of 10.5 cc I now have had a total of 8 fills, and I still have not lost a pound!! So regarding your post, yup the lapband does not work for everybody! And yes you really will not get it untill you are in someone elses shoes.

10.5 cc and still not weight lost I am so over this, sucks why me I ask, If I would of known the lapband does not work for everyone I swear I would had never gotten it!

When Do You Feel Restriction Seconds After Your Lap Band Fill Or 1 Week Or 2

Its been 3 months since my surgery, I have had a total of 3 fill's I am now at 8cc's....and feel No restriction what so ever.!!! ..I am always hungry, and I have not lost a pound, however I have noticed that I get stuck with bread or rice I got my 3rd fill last week, but still not felling any diffrence, so I am just wondering If you fell restriction weeks later after your fill. My 1st fill was at 4cc's....my 2nd fill was at 3cc's and my third fill was 1cc's total now of 8 cc's! Also could it be that I have a low BMI,(34) and thats why its taking forever to hit what they say its call the "sweet spot"? thanks -

It still does not sit in my head, that I will no longer be able to eat breakfest ever again, I have tried, and there is just no way it will go down, BYE BYE, Ihop, Coco's and Dennys...You will be missed......lol

Hello I got banded 4 months ago, and still weight the same!! I have not lost a pound, I am now at a total of 10cc in my 14cc band! 2 weeks ago I got to 10cc, the only difference now is that, I get stuck, with bread, chicken or some meats, Before I was at 10cc I was able to eat anything, So what is Restriction when you fill full with a cup of food, or when u fill food getting stuck????? I thought that restriction is when u get full, however in my case I am always hungry the only thing is that now I have to chew chew chew so that my food could go down, I dont get full at all, I could still finish my whole plate of food!!! what happens now is that I eat and if I get stuck I got to the toilet vomit, then wait 5 minutes go back 2 the table and I am able to finish my food! Why because I am hungry, I will like to not even think of food, or to fill full, I am snacking in between meals, because I am still hungry dont know just confused! So is this How I will live for the rest of my life with this tool not loosing any weight and having a hard time eating food? I rather be Fat and Happy then Fat and miserable!!!!! -

just came back from a nother fill, lets see how this one goes, I am now at 10cc !!!
But my Dr just keeps on telling me the same o thing that everybody is diffrent and some people are at there sweet spot @ 5cc while others wont get there till they are like 11.5 cc so IDK...what to think anymore!!!
