Testing my Limits!
You are NOT alone on what you're feeling!! I'm on my 2nd week (gosh it feels longer!!) of mushies and have found myself grazing on small amounts of food to "test" my limits. I've had no issue, but I'm worried I'll end up hurting myself more than help. Next week I get to go on REAL (semi-soft) food (Yippy!!) and the week after, I get to see my Dr to go over my progress and I think, to get my first fill!! )

Hang in there!!

We're only human and make mistakes sometimes.

Four Golden Rules
Thanks Irene.. The latte fits into my calorie allowance a day. I get a fat free Tazo Iced Green Tea Latte and it's the only "liquid calorie" I consume (other than my protein shakes of course). I don't have it EVERYDAY which is a good thing, but it does come with 220cal, 10g of protein, 0g of fat, BUT it has 43g of sugar and that's the one thing that kind of worries me. I'm not sure how many grams of sugar I'm suppossed to be taking in daily? Other than that, I take a mutli-vitamin, calcium and fiber supplements daily.

Four Golden Rules
Just a quick question for some of you.. I was badly addicted to starbucks Coffee and have gone from a gazillion calorie drink to their Tazo Iced Green Tea Latte. I saw "No Latte's" on this post and was just wondering, should I not be drinking my new Latte? And if not, is there anything at starbucks I can drink that is "good" for me? I need a morning boost and can't stand the taste of dark coffee with just cream and sugar....

I need GOOD mushy food ideas!!
I'm so frusterated. I know you can put just about anything in a blender and mush it up for our mushy food stage, but frankly, by the time Im done mushing the food. It's too disgusting to eat! *blah* So I need some really good mushy food ideas! Im in my 2nd week of mushies and then next week I get to try semi-soft regular food, but Im struggling to find anything to eat. I've moved onto having some mashed potatoes with my tomotoe soup and I dont really want to be eating all those carbs. Mashed yams are about the only thing I like. Does anyone have some really good tofu recipes or something? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Newbie!! 3 Days post op!!
Thanks DIVA!! I think I'm doing good so far. Some cravings every now and then, but for the most part, I'm doing good!! All I can say is thank God for my blender!! I've been able to blend all of my favorite Soups so that they were "sip-able".. Haha!! But it's helped!! I'm so excited I want to heal already so I can start working out and get back into swimming so I can see the pounds melt away!! Good luck on your journey and see you around the boards!

Newbie!! 3 Days post op!!
Hello everyone!! So I'm a 28yr ok'd female, living in sunny (haha) Seattle and I'm 3 days post-op. I'm so excited that I've been able to get the surgery done and can't wait to be able to workout and use my new "tool". I'm still a little gasy (lol) and got some pressure, but for the most part, I'm walking around and taking fluids with no issues. So hello everyone and I look forward to taking this journey with you all!!
