  1. i actually went to the doctor TODAY for the same reasons...pain when breathing, on and off or pain when burping or laying on my side. i was unfilled today and is scheduled for a GI test next week. i am a little afraid that i have no restricton but i'm trying not to worry too much. hopefully the band will fix its self (in the words of my doctor) and i won't need surgery again, but if i do, i will plan to go thru with it. this band has helped me more than anyone could imagine.
  2. hi! banded 05/09/2011...and all is well here. wearing clothes that's been in my closet FOREVER!!! and lovin it!!
  3. i'll b doing mine tonight!!!
  4. yeah...i thought i was going to do the same when i was banded...but you just don't know how much pain you may be in a day or 3 later. but if you can do it...do it, just take your time and don't rush it.
  5. i was banded 4 weeks ago and i got my first fill today...3cc for a total of 4cc since surgery. i was told liquids for the first 2 days , then soft foods, then solid foods by day 4. i'm finding that a lot of info given varies.
  6. how are you feeling today?
  7. first off...BREATH!!!! i hate to hear what you've been going thru. the best thing that you can do right now is wait to see what the next UGI shows and hopefully the new doctor will be able to help you thru this. i'd be interested to see how this works out for you. Keep your head up!!
  8. may 9, was my day. all seems to be well. i am down 14lbs. i still have some tenderness around my port but all is well.
  9. HANG IN THERE!!! you are going to be just fine. brush off all of the negativity from the docotor (he was a bit harsh) and move forward. your stress may contribute to you lack of weight loss, so try to find a little peace to get you thru. the weight will come off, just be sure to stick to your regime..8lbs is progress so try not to be down about. it's 8lbs that you're not carrying anymore!!!
  10. i became a BANDit on 5/9/11
  11. glad to hear u are feel better! ummm....so did you figure out the ticker thing? trying to add it to my profie stuff, or where ever it's supposed to go is starting to agrrivate me!
  12. well this makes me a little nervous. i am 7 day post-op but i was feeling this exact pain after day 3, so i went to the ER to be sure nothing was wrong. i thought the same thing about my band and i also wondered about pnuemonia...but it was found all was well after having the cat scan. sounds like i will be doing the breating exercises just a little longer thant the 2 weeks advised. ...a little nervous...
  13. thanks for the info! this is exactly what i am feeling right now...i am 7 days pos-op and i feel like i am starving and only ate about an hour ago. what to do...what to do. i am sticking to my portions and haven't eaten anything that i'm not supposed to, but i am hungry. hopefully, at my first fill, this will change...thanks again!
