Get on the floor and do some gentle back stretches!!! That will do more good for you than anything. I think you're supposed to alternate heat and ice. Heat is to relax the muscles and ice is to reduce inflammation...and you need both of those things. Everytime I go shopping (trying on clothes) my back is sore for 3 days. When your back gets strained once then it seems like there's always that vulnerability. Laura can tell you, too!! Stress is not good either...and we've all had plenty of that lately! How are your girly parts these days, anyway?

Kat, the weather in houston is usually not the same as in the hill country since we are so close to the coast. Here's the weather forecast... not quite as sunny as predicted before, but a few clouds is actually good! New Braunfels Weekend Weather Forecast - weather.com

Hi everyone! OK all you sickies.... STOP IT!!! Stop being sick right this very second!!!!!!!!!!!! You have exactly 60 hours to get well so GET ON IT. I went for my 'dermal filler' injections today...the ones around my mouth and I look like I got hit in the mouth with a softball! It's lovely. Little tiny bruises in the nasolabial fold (the line that runs from the sides of your nose to the sides of your mouth) and my upper lip is all swolen. Real purdy!!! They said you can 'resume normal activities' after the procedure....but they didn't happen to mention that it hurts and you look like a FREAK!!!....so I went home and rested with an ice pack on my face most of the afternoon. So 2 things on my list that didn't get done today. One of which was to MAKE A LIST!! LOL Oh, you have no idea how I've put so many things off. I always operate in crunch mode so this is no different. Anyway, I hope I don't still look like a freak on Friday. I would NOT be happy about that. Well, at least my face is VIOLET!

Anyone have a particular margarita recipe they want us to use? I can't drink tequila (makes my heart race), but in the old days I just used frozen limeade, ice and tequila. ??

Viactiv Flavor Glides
I LOVE the chocolate/cherry Viactiv chews...have you ever tried those? They don't have them everywhere. I've only seen them at Sam's and maybe Walgreen's. So what are the "glides"?? I'll have to go look that up.

Michelle -- How are the eyeballs?? Kat - SOOOO glad to hear that confusion about your surgery was cleared up!! You MUST have been in tears...not to mention confused! What a relief! I didn't know steroids was part of the protocol! Did the other girls on LBT that have had PS have steroids or is it something particular to your case? Judy - Have you ever heard the thing about colds: 3 days coming, 3 days staying, 3 days going? That is really true, too!! I hope yours is just some pesky allergies...things are getting really green around there 'bout now arent they? Mom's still in the hospital. I sure hope she gets out tomorrow. My sister says she has a staph infection and can't be around mom for the next few days! That does not help my situation at all. She said she gets this 'eruption' every so often. I asked if she takes antibiotics or what...and she said, "no it just runs it's course." I'm like thinking, "Huh?? For a staph infection???" Whatever! I'm exhausted.... going to bed!!! WITH drugs even. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

TracyK, like I told Haydee I between Mom, kids and work I haven't had much time to focus on the 'lists', but I will do that tomorrow...I should have time. I think I'll ask you to bring our drinks, Haydee to bring the liquor and I'll bring some snacks and the other groceries we might need. Haydee, does that sound ok to you?

The best slots I ever played have been at the 4 Queens downtown Las Vegas. Not the fanciest casino but clean and nice....and good gambling. I told a friend about it recently and so she and her BF went and had a blast there! She said they sat at the bar, had free drinks and played poker on the slots for 4 hours on about $30! They then went across the street to the Nugget and lost $60 in about a half hour. What a sweetie. Good plan, Haydee. I'm proud of you. Wheee!! Make-up sex!!! :tt1::thumbup:

What beautiful pictures, Tracy!! Those are keepers for sure! Robby looks like a maniac. (I love, love, LOVE little boys!!) (NO!! Not that way!!) Haydee - We've been to LaBerge DuLac (or however its spelled)... we went for the day but couldn't afford the $500/night they wanted for a freakin' room! $500/night in LAKE CHARLES?? We just laughed at them! I could fly to Vegas and stay at the Wynn for that! LOL Anyway...the pool is fantastic, golf course is very nice but the casino is crowded and expensive! High stakes blackjack and the slots are tight as hell. We left there and went to go dance at a zydeco club and had sooooooooo much fun!! Much more fun than than the casino!!

I will bring some alcohol just for emergencies and for the river if anyone is up for it on a Saturday morning! I'll bring vodka, tequila and a bit of coconut rum that TracyM requested; margarita mix, cranberry juice and tropical punch crystal light. Wherever we go, there's a bar within 50 yards, so i don't think anyone will have to suffer with the shakes for too long. You're not a poop!! To each his own!

TracyK - Since you have the fewest number in your car, can you bring an ice chest with a few drinks already iced down? If you don't have one, I can bring mine... I'd just hate to have someone have to carry their suitcase in their lap all the way to Gruene! I'll have groceries and towels, too...so i'm getting nervous about the amount of room needed in my car. Not to mention that Jenn said she changes clothes "several" times per day! .... no telling HOW big her suitcase is!!?! LOL

Man, that would have ticked me off, too, Kat!!! People are so STUPID sometimes!!! On Mother's Day?!? Poor Rick...I'm sure he did feel bad and quite awkward. He's too nice to just ask them to leave...but KAT! You could have done it!! LOL I wish you would have...they deserved that! How rude! Musta been raised by wolves. Michelle you are hilarious!! You seriously crack me up. (((Pammy))) Thanks... I did enjoy my day with Mom. When I'm dragging ass and don't feel like going to the hospital or nursing home, I always remind myself that these are my last days with her and I should enjoy every moment. And when I finally get there, I am much better and happy to be there. I just havent seen very much of my DH in the last week or two! My teenage kids are narcissistic and egocentric twits. But I love them with all my heart. I don't allow DH to 'prompt' them to buy cards and gifts for me....I just see what they do left to their own devices. As a result, I rarely get those treats. In their defense, however, they are wonderful to me every day of the year...do whatever I ask, don't argue with me often, I get hugs and kisses all day long, and they tell me they love me about 10x a day....literally. I really shouldn't complain, eh? Gotta hit the showers. Be back later!

My favorite comedian is Ron White (know him? Blue Collar Comedy?) and he happens to be from Texas. He has a joke about death row in Texas: "Other states are trying to abolish the death penalty -- mine's putting in an express lane!" Don't Mess With Texas. Ever. Here's some other Ron White quotes, just to make you LOL in the morning! I believe that if life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade. And try to find somebody whose life has given them vodka, and have a party. (Imitating his cousin, Ray, about hunting) "well, it was four in the mornin. 22 degrees outside. 'Course you weren't there. Pussy. I'm in a camouflage deer blind, i got grease paint on my face. I had deer urine on my boots -- I'm not sure why -- (as himself) I made that part up. (returns to imitating Ray) I've got a thirty-aught six rifle that can fire a bullet at 2500 feet per second. When that deer looked up ta' lick the salt lick I'd hung from the danged ol' tree, I caught him right above the eye." And I'm going, "Yeah? Well I hit one with a van. Going 55 miles an hour, with the headlights on and the horn blowin'!" Woo, that's an elusive little creature! If you ever miss one, it's because the bullet's moving too fast. I'll tell you what; slow the bullet down to 55 miles an hour, put some headlights and a little horn on it, the deer will actually jump in front of the bullet! I have two dogs , named Birdie and Bogey. The other day some guy said that nice you named them after your golf game. I said, no if they were named after my golf game there names would be, "double bogey" and "Where the fuck is that ball going?" HA! Any day you start off laughing until you cry is gonna be a GOOD day. Oh, I love Ron White.

Kat, do you have Ross or Marshall's there? They have great deals on wallets...nice ones, too! I spent the day in my car mostly! Gotta love Houston! I put 90 miles on that baby today. Just now getting home from the hospital...Mom looks good. The prayers are working!

Uh.... correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the doctor tell you to NOT walk on that foot??? hmmmm????? Well, at least you had a good day! Sounds fun! I vote for Keds but with the low-profile socks. I think they're cute! But I have never been able to wear them...they just don't fit me right. Uh, why can't you wear open-toes to work? Dress code or safety thing? If it's dress code, those guys need to move into the 21st century!! Lordy!

Thanks guys, ya'll are so sweet! I would cry for days if I couldn't go...and I don't cry often. All I can tell you at this point is that she seems fine! Well, at least no worse than she has been the last 2-3 weeks! The last time she was in the hospital I thought she would never make it out and she seems better now than she did then. My point is that I am amazed at what the doctors can do with tweaking her medication and getting her stronger again, so I am very hopeful. She's just so dang sick.... advanced COPD, congestive heart failure, and light pneumonia but with no fever. She's alert, relatively cheerful, color is good, strength is pretty good, oxygenation is good, BP is good. Amazing. I feel confident she'll be discharged...but her situation is sooooo delicate, it can change any minute. So anyway, that's the update. Thanks so much for your prayers. I love having you girls to talk to. It helps so much.
