I was just thinking the same thing. I got my surgery date it is July 13th, but I dont want the noseys in my business, and I dont want to have to answer a bunch of ridiculous questions about my personal decisions. I think I am loving the Hernia excuse that might be my winner!

I got my date! I will be having surgery July 13! I am so excited yet a little scared.

I am finally approved for my revision!! It has been a long month... I am now just waiting for the date, hopefully it will be soon so that I can get the contraption (band) out of me!

I am still waiting for approval! I want this band out however, I am told that my best chance for a revision to sleeve is to have it done at the same time. I do not know how much longer I can wait. If I have not heard the words "APPROVAL" by June 3rd I am going to schedule the band removal and hope for the best. what is the problem? I have insurance, I meet the criteria, I have a failed band that is documented.. Come on BCBS bust a move!

If you talk to your Dr. and get the procedure billing code or they are using you can contact your ins. give them that code along with a diagnostic code and they can tell you if it is covered and how much. Good Luck! I hope everything goes well.

This is so true.. I hate waiting and those that know me, I have a hard time with things I can not control myself. I will wait though.. do you mind me asking were you a revision or is this your first WLS? 3 days is excellent and I will def. keep everyone posted!

I just got word from my Dr.'s off ice they have my psych eval and the records from my first lapband(I am using a different surgeon). They are submitting to the insurance company today. I now just have to let them do their thing and wait. I hope 1 it wont be too long and two that it gets approved. When I spoke to the ins. person at the clinic she says it has been taking about two weeks for revision approvals. I am so ready to have this band removed and get a sleeve.

It seems a lot of people on a different site I am also on use nectar. They seem to love it. Good Luck to you!
