I believe that coffee is not allowed right after because it is a diarelic (Spelling??) You need to staty hydrated and coffee does not allow that... Just my guess..

Hi Melissa.. I am 5'0 weighing in at my highest was 282lbs. I am currently at 277lbs. BMI over 50. I was going to post the same question and you beat me to it..LOL Anyway, I am scheduled to be sleeved on Oct 19. I plan on taking 2 weeks off. Hopefully that will be enough. Good Luck tomorrow.!! I am sorry that you are having these issues with your surgery. I have not been sleeved yet but I am scheduled for next month. Your message has not convinced me not to have this surgery. Why ?? Because I have done my home work. I know bout the nausea, I know about the Vitamins, Water intake, protien and the B-12. I even know what size bougie my surgeaon is going to use. And also that the hunger harmone is also in the part of the stomach that will be removed. Heck if things don't go well while they are working on me there is always the possiblity that they have to do the By-Pass instead. This is not something to go into blindly. You are correct in stating that one should do more research. I wish you the best and hope that things change for the better. :001_smile:

Welcome.. I am scheduled to have the sleeve on Oct 19. Can't wait..You will find a lot of support here. Many have had the revision from the Band to the sleeve with great success..Good luck to you.. Connie

If you are in Va try Blue Point Surgery Group. They also work out of Fairfax Hosipal. They are going to be doing my sleeve on the 19 of oct in Woodbride VA.

I am scheduled to be sleeved Oct 19 2010 in Woodbridge VA. I found out the my Aetna Ins will only approve as outpatient. Anyone get sleeved as outpatient??? Guess it will be pretty early in the morning...Looking forward to getting sleevedd.. We should have a forum t-shirt the says.. I HAVE BEEN SLEEVED!!!!! :thumbup1::thumbup::001_tt2:

I am only 5 ft.. So I got you all beat..LOL. I need to lose about 150 lbs. I am at 282 but do not know what the Dr. will want me at. I am 56 yrs old. Not sure what the weight requirement are for this age group. I have my last required class next Tues. Then I gues another meeting with the Nutrionist and surgeon. Not sure how long it will take for approval from ins co. I have Aetna.

DougNichols - Instead of the 6 month diet plan it is the 3 month diet plan throught the dr. office. It is a 3 monthy meeting with the Nutrtionist and the PT. It either this or 6 months with the reg dr.

For those that have Aetna HMO how long did it take for them to approve your sleeve.?? Connie :001_tt2:
