    Slurpee?

I am currently 6 weeks out and am craving a slurpee. I have 3 little girls and we get slurpee's after their T-Ball games. When did you have a slurpee again? Thanks! Kelly
  2. Monday I will be 7 weeks out and I have had all of what you mentioned. I agree the heightened smell was a surprise and really rough. My sense of smell seems to be returning to normal. My downstairs region at times still has a different odor...but is mostly back to normal as well. I have only had 1 period since my surgery and I was a bit freaked because it did look like old blood and was just overall different. I remember the fuzzy tongue and gross taste in my mouth. Happy to say that is long gone!!!!

Did any of you ever wonder...

I am currently in the 3rd week of my stall and I really appreciate this thread...makes me feel better that others feel like I do. I have said my self "I just don't think this is going to work." I know it has to but... Here's hoping the stall breaks soon!!!!
  4. LOVE YOUR WISDOM!!!! Thanks for setting this sleevers mind at ease!

    The WHY behind the STALL

I was just logging on to VSG to research "stall" and here is all I need to know! Thanks so much for posting!!!
  6. I felt the same way...and still do occasionally I am 4 weeks, 3 days out right now. It was like a switch was flipped Monday my 4 week day. All of a sudden I could eat and didn't feel so gross afterward. If I eat too fast or too big of bites I can feel it otherwise...EVERYONE was right...it does get a lot better! GOOD LUCK!
  7. OK tomorrow I will be 4 weeks out. Yes that's a good thing. But now on to my questions: 1. What did you do when your Protein shakes made you nauseous? I seriously dread them. 2. Did you feel nauseous every morning when you woke up? When did that stop? 3. Crystal Light tastes so gross to me....what the heck??? So far Water and Gatorade watered down are the only things that taste good. 4. What can we take for headaches? 5. I don't feel like I've lost anything...I have in fact lost about 25 pounds. But I don't feel any different in my clothes. Anyone else feel this way? Sorry I sound so crabby...just some questions that have been on my mind...Thanks VST peeps!!!
  8. Yep! I think he helped me the first night there! How funny!!!!

  9. I am upset/depressed not about the lack of things I can eat, but the lack of things I can do with my kids. I have 3 little girls a 3yr old, a 4yr old and 6 yr old and time is just flying by and I'm missing my summer with them. I can't pick things up really, I can't go swimming with them...I don't even want to go play outside with them because I'm still in pain! THIS SUCKS!!!! I realize I'm whining and venting...but wanted to get this out!
  10. I have that same dent below that incision site...SO WEIRD!!!
  11. I'm so glad you posted this! I had my sleeve done on the 20th and that incision site is still sore...But I remember it hurting A LOT but was controlled by meds. I can't wait for someone to answer your question! Kelly

    June Sleevers Master List

    I was sleeved June 20th
  13. What I know now 6 days after getting my sleeve. 1. It is painful - for me the gas isn't an issue - but one of my incision sites does give me a lot of pain. 2. liquid Vicodin is DISGUSTING!!! I need to keep taking it due to my pain - but wow is it gross!!!! 3. Ketosis really is gross!!!! I feel like I have cotton mouth all the time. 4. Head hunger is here! I am craving a hamburger and at the same time if I imagine myself actually eating it, I get nausious. 5. This is quite different than having my gall bladder out. I consider myself a typically pretty tough person and this surgery has knocked me on my ass!!! 6. Mainly my parents - but even my sister - have come around and are being very supportive of my surgery. They even came to visit me at the hospital. I did post a couple months back about them not being supportive. 7. Really can't wait to get my drain out...but surprisingly I don't find it disgusting - only irritating. 8. Speaking of irritating - I am so itchy!!!!! All over my belly and under my boobs. I keep putting lotion on - but the itchiness really sucks! 9. Only had about 1/2 hour of regret the other night when I was really tired. I realize this is all just rambling - but it feels good to get it out! Can't wait for the pain to go!!!

    Been sleeved 6 days...

Yes Yes Yes! The #2 definitely is more like #1 coming out! And I agree about the wiping! If I have my pain meds I'm all good...if not it really hurts to twist! That is a great idea to get a small pill instead of the liquid vicodin!

    Been sleeved 6 days...

The pain is only when I move certain ways like getting up from the chair funny or getting out of bed in the am. Also if I have my pain meds then I'm fine. Today I actually feel pretty good. And it's my first day of full liquids! I never knew V-8 could taste so good!
  16. I'm sorry you are still in some pain - but it makes me feel so much better hearing that you are having pain as well!!!! I hope we both recover quickly!!!!
  17. I have PAIN in 2 sites...only nausea when I tried to take my prescription meds or my vitamins and I did throw up twice from the vitamins. I don't regret it - but can't wait for my drain to go and to feel better....
  18. I just had my surgery this past Monday June 20th and I am still pretty sore at a couple of incision sites. The gas wasn't really a problem for me yet - I'm hoping it stays that way. I can't wait until I can sleep on my tummy again. My drain comes out next Thursday. I can't wait!!!!
  19. What is your husbands name??? I think I did see him Monday night when I got to my room...I was so out of it!

  20. I am new to this site - but thought I'd try a forum since I can't seem to find anything when I search for info. I am considering VSG. I have my seminar Thursday and an appointment to meet my surgeon later this month. My husband is very supportive of me having WLS. However, my sister, who is 3 years younger and has always been tall and thin is VERY AGAINST me having WLS. I have grown up being "the fat sister" and I don't want to feel that way anymore. HELP!!! Have any of you had experiences with unsupportive family members??? What did you do? How did you deal with this "judgement". I feel judges when I talk to her about this.
  21. Hey everyone! Does anyone have a nice list of VERY LOW calorie foods? My diet isn't too bad...1000cals a day and then the 3 days before my surgery only liquids. I have looked on the forum (ok I wasn't a CSI investigating or anything) and haven't found any lists....anyone have any advice or ideas. HOLY CRAP my surgery is coming up soon! Not nervous yet ONLY EXCITED!!!!! Woo hoo! Thanks so much!!!! K
  22. I am getting sleeved on June 20th as well! Good luck to you!
