  1. I was banded in March of this year. My surgery and recovery went really smoothly. I had my second fill probably 3 months ago. I never had a problem with my second fill. I was actually unsure if I was even tight enough. I feel full a lot quicker than I did before lap band but I still feel like food might pass through my top pouch really easily. Anyway... To the real issue... A few days ago I started having some really mild pain/discomfort when I would burp. I don't have the discomfort when I'm standing or I sit up really straight. It is mostly when I'm sitting comfortably and I burp. I've read about band slips and how you are usually in immense pain when you're laying down. I only have really really mild pain while laying down if I burp. I have never had pain or discomfort when eating. I thought for a few days that maybe I was just extremely gassy but it has lasted probably 3 days now. Have any of you experienced this? I've seen people talk about discomfort and pain when over eating... but I get the discomfort/pain only when I burp, really. I'm perfectly fine eating.
  2. I'm really terrified that I've stretched out my pouch. I'm also really scared that if I did.. I'd have to have revision surgery. I had to pay out of pocket because insurance wouldn't pay. If I use Pamela's guide can I get back to where I should be?
  3. I had my surgery on March 24th. A week after my surgery I injured my back but I was sticking to the full liquids diet plan. After seeing my doctor by the 2 week mark.. I started on soft food. Soups at first but soon after I stopped being as concerned with my diet because of my back pain. I saw my primary doctor and she put me on Naproxen and a muscle relaxer. I've been taking them for 2 weeks now. The last couple of days I've been having some nausea after I eat and today it has been pretty constant through the day. I haven't had my first fill yet.. that wont be until the end of next week. My question is: Is it possible to have a lap band slip without a fill? I've been overeating and I'm scared I caused a slip already. :/ The nausea could be from the naproxen or menstrual cramping. I'm kind of a worrywart. I might have my weeks sort of messed up. Duhh..
  4. i'm going to email my doctor and ask him if i should stop using the naproxen. i'm hoping i can continue taking it since i have a narrowing in my spine due to injuries.. im not sure how i can get better without having reduction in the inflammation. yipes. thanks so much for your quick replies everyone.
  5. My primary doctor knew about lap band. Why are the NSAIDs bad for lap band? Thank you for the replies by the way
