  1. wow! What a great feeling...huh? I haven't seen that number in 20 years and I'll be freaking out too!
  2. Just a quick question. Did any of you have to complete the 6 month diet before your insurance would approve your lap band to sleeve procedure? I can't believe they would have consider you to do this. I have the lap band now (2004) and I'm going for a revision to the sleeve. My dr. office just put in my request to my insurance company on Friday, so I'm just sitting on pins and needles wondering what they are going to require...I would think a 7 yr diet plan with the lap band would be sufficient for the 6 moths of tring to lose weight....??? anybody? thanks
  3. Hey, what happened with your insurance (our insurance) did you get approved. I'm dying to hear what I'm going to have to go through. May be by now they will approve it. I'm hoping and praying to God so hard. Keep me posted. Drop me a line when u can. Hope all is well...Janine
  4. Just wondering if anyone out there has gotten approved with BCBS of Minnesota?? I'm just sending in my paperwork to them soon. I see it's still considered "investigative", but I have read on google that some people did get approved. I just really, really don't want to have the RYN? or RNY...whatever they call that surgery. I want the sleeve so bad...I have baratric coverage, I'm just looking for some positive feedback....sorry, I'm just so worried...Thanks for listening. Janine
  5. Hello: M e too, waiting....please let me know. I have BCBS of Minnesota. I don't know how this is going to get approved. I have coverage but they say the sleeve may not be covered....I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
  6. ha-ha, that is funny....they must measure vodka differntly...because I can drink a lot of that!!!!!! and can't spell either...I hope an pray I have this surgery soon. I'm going to die trying to get my insurance to approve it!
  7. Well, I'm sitting on the edge of the bed.....hello all....What happened with the outcome of the insurance company? I have the same insurance and will be submitting all my paperwork as well in the next few weeks. I already have the lap band. I'm hoping to have that removed and the sleeve done. I'm super excited, but I'm worried too about the insurance not covering this procedure. I will go with the gastric bypass if needed. They cover that for sure...they need to cover the sleeve too. Please, please let me know what you all have experienced with Blue cross. Keep your fingers crossed....God always has road blocks that we need to jump over, but in the long run, he's wonderful! Thanks so much...Janine
  8. Me too. I'm looking for anyone who might have blue cross of minnesota??? I have this insurance and wondering if anyone actually got the sleeve covered under this insurance. It say "Investgational" which I'm thinking....but don't want to that it won't be covered....but the bypass is...go figure. Anyway, just wondering if you have this insurance and what's going on or it you know anyone who has. Thanks so much...Janine
  9. Hi Frenchie: I had the lap band done in 2004. I lost about 30 lbs max....I still have the lap band but I too am looking to have the sleeve done in the summer. I haven't had much success with the band at all, although, I have had no complications from the band what so ever, just that my stomach has streched over the band, hence, allowing me not to loose weight. In the begining it was good, for the most part, but now I found a great dr. in Florida that is going to remove my band and do the sleeve in one procedure. I'm so thrilled. I just hope and pray I can loose this weight. The lap band was once my dream, but failed, I hope the sleeve will do it. But to answer your question, yes it can be done in one procedure and most dr. desire that one surgery. Did u have it done yet?
