  1. It appears that Mystie posted here for 2-3 days in June 2013 and that was it. For all we know, it was a hoax.
  2. Check the label, most of those shots are heavy in low quality collagen protein (made from animal skin) . I was told not to bother with anything but whey isolate. I was tempted too, but they are not lacto/vegetarian, which I am.
  3. If you haven't already, do it in the morning. You are a dedicated young lady after all....
  4. 1.You have to continue to watch your weight after you get to goal. 2.It is easier to get pregnant while you are losing weight. 3.Your feet will most likely get colder your first winter after surgery than before surgery.
  5. I usually fast on Mon and Ths, but I decided to fast today because I am on holiday for the next three days, and I knew it would be hard to keep it up tomorrow on the road. So far so good... Weds are tricky as they are staff meeting day, and there are always treats... luckily, today there were none so it was easy enough to stay on plan. I should clock in at around 540 by bedtime. How is your day gals?
  6. I might have mentioned this before, but i have a tendency to have some anxiety as well...it runs in the family. I suspect I have some cortisol or adrenal problems... , my dad and mom both have/had Atrial Fibrillation, as do I, and my dad had his heart stop from Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (broken-heart syndrome) a few years ago, which they think is caused by stress hormones. I steer clear of caffein or any stimulant really, which makes me feel like total shit, and when I get that "funny feeling" I take about 2T of nutritional yeast, add to a little water and glug it down. This seems to take the edge off of the anxiety within 15 minutes or so. I recommend it, its worth a try anyway! For me its not really a "thinking" problem, but a chemical one... which may be one and the same...don't know...
  7. Have a great day everyone! Just found this in my garden by the studio early this morning...
  8. ...added peanut flax butter to my chocolate pudding, so that brings me to about 570. Good till tomorrow. Glad everyone has had a pretty good day. Miss you Brown!
  9. A half a slice of pizza will not blow up your liver. You should not have eaten it, but really.... drink your water, do the right thing now and you will be fine. DO follow your diet after surgery. That is when the real damage can happen from bingeing, avoiding vitamins or not drinking your water. Move on with your plan and you will be fine. My liver shrink diet was only two days of liquids.
  10. I have to say, you are still pretty early out. I had surgery 3 1/2 years ago and I def look better now than at year one. My face looked haggard, my neck was more turkey than lady, and my thighs were creased. Now all three of these things are better, from exercise, Water and time. Give yourself a break, and worry about that later when you are really at the end of your weight loss and recovery.
  11. People do say "I see you haven't gained the weight back" and I just say "thats right". No one has been really mean to my face, except one guy that I work with who told me he liked how I looked a lot better before I lost the weight...but who knows about behind my back?! I sure have gained lost gained lost in the past, like just about everybody else on diets. It really is normal to gain it all back. We are abnormal ladies and gents! And SOOOO happy for it!
  12. Hahahaha! I was thinking that before you said it! Well, whatever is was, it is working for you!
  13. Swiz, dump it all here! This is the right place. NO it does not end me up where you are, it is good to know others have a hard time at times too, and we CAN make our way out of it. We have done it before an we will do it again. After a few days it seems to get a little easier. I know you know all of these ideas, but I have to remind myself now and then.... ~Have the right food in the house ~Have some of it pre-prepared for easy access, portioned, frozen or not...I just bought 30 days worth of Wonderslim veg chili.... 100 calls, ready to microwave...not really cheap... but I like it, and when i need a fast day meal for small calories... I use it. ~Have easy to go to snacks that will fill you up and/occupy your hands and mouth quick. I even keep "junk" like snacks around... I order on line, high protein, crunchy, cheesy, lower calorie chips and such. ~Find a way to get the water in... I make decaf iced tea that I keep in the fridge, and love crystal light peach/mango green tea. ~When I am feeling impulsive, usually from some emotional stress, or that addictive impulse... I had better have something "go to" or I am sunk. Even this does not work all the time, but sometimes is usually enough... or better than the alternative! The junk part is for when Im really feeling rough...I like to eat pretty clean most days... but some days are just too hard to do that! We can do it!
  14. OK, I was 176.5 this morning, I want to get down to under 171 by....? When it happens. Here is my plan for today....and water water water! add: My bounce range is 170-173... so getting back there is the plan.
  15. I just went to MFP and planned the food for tomorrow. Are we going to post here or a new thread?
  16. Sounds good! I have been trying to stay on the straight and narrow this week... I lost 2 pounds... and am now a little less than 6 pounds from goal. The 22nd is my anniversary, and we may go out to eat, but that doesn't need to stop me from fasting the rest of the day. I have GOT to make this work and not cave to excuses any longer. Cathy! An Oxford boy! you must be so proud! What are your boys studying?
  17. I think it might have been one I posted back a loooong way... I used to keep them to show weight loss progress.
  18. I had some bad turkey neck a year after surgery, but 3 years later it is pretty good. I think time and my dance class helped! We do chest lifts that work your neck, and it really helped tone up what could be toned!
  19. I was up by 8 pounds from were I want to be (bottom of my bounce range) and have really hit the 5:2 on fast days and trying to be pretty good on reg days. I have managed to drop over 2 pounds and am now only 6 from my goal. Yes Virginia, the 5:2 can work. I have been feeling some acid, I think my body is still pissed off at me for eating like a chocolate brownie loving piggy the other day....I must have had 7 of them... Chocolate in excess always is the culprit with acid for me. A little is ok..... Kelly, and Sar, DO hang out here with us, even if you feel like crap, I know when i feel like crap I have a tendency to stay away too, but these girls are pure GOLD. If one of us does not understand, the next one will, and we are here for you! That goes or you too Sheila! We are putting my moms ashes in the ground today. Lunch after.... so glad I did a good 5:2 yesterday!
  20. Im in too.. I was going to start today, but had a big fight with hubby, then the boss brought a giant box of Crack.... make that brownie bites.... I did my best to empty the box. Going to a big dress up Gala tonight too... I will do my best to enjoy all the wine and treats! I get free tickets when I volunteer to be an "on air" expert at the Local PBS stations arts auction. Its fun! I consider my bounce range to be 170-173.... I am currently at 176.8..... and holding. I would love to get back to 170. What a difference 6.8 pounds make! Feel all Blubby.
