I have been overweight for most of my life but not morbidly so. In 2008 I had to have a hysterectomy due to a large fibroid tumor. After that surgery my weight ballooned to an unmanageable number. The med I was taking for depression did not help the weight issue at all. I suffer from sleep apnea, high blood pressure, and depression along with various aches and pains caused by my excessive weight. I decided in March 2011 that enough was enough and finally asked my doctor about lap band surgery. I attended a seminar and in September 2011 had LapBand surgery.  The band worked for me for a few years but then I had nothing but problems with it so had to have it removed.  Unfortunately, my weight ballooned back up.  I'm revising to the sleeve.  No more foreign things in my body.  A new tool to help me. I'm nervous, happy, excited and scared but determined to use this tool to get my life back!
