  1. Just had my surgery on Tuesday the 26th...I am miserable with gas! It's in my chest right now. I have been eating gas x like candy...and walking! I'm going to try the heating pad tonight...I think if I could let out one big burp I would be in Heaven. My dr said that most of the gas should leave after your first bowel movement...not true @ all...had it--still have the gas! Wish me luck! Thanks for all of the advice.
  2. That is terrible...I am very interested to find out what happens with your situation. Please stay in touch...Can you reach out to your former insurance company to find out if they may have any recommendations? Or if they can't help maybe you can reach out to your dr's office in Ohio to see if they may have some recomendations for you. I'm really sorry for the loss of your mother! Good Luck to you and stay strong!!! And try to make yourself get back into a work out routine and believe me you I so understand the under stress eating- try to fool your brain back to eating the right stuff!
  3. Hello Lapband world, I wish I had known about this site months ago--I have read some really good information here. I am about to start my pre-op liquid diet, and I would like to know if anyone has found a truly tasty protein shake? I've researched on the internet and found something called Unjury I've ordered a couple packs of it but have not been able to bring myself to taste them. I am very anxious about the whole process, and scared, and nervous, but very excited! My other big question is will I have the extra skin hanging around like some of my friends who've had gastric bypass surgery? Or because lapband patients are losing weight at a slower pace, is this not a big problem? Looking forward to reading some good advice. Thanks to all who respond.
