  3. My surgery is tomorrow!!!! OMG I am so scared and nervous! Please tell me what to expect after surgery? I know I will be sore, ofcourse and have read things about people having painful gas.   4. My surgery is scheduled for 5/27 and knowing my luck I am sick! I have a horrible cold. Congestion, coughing, sore thoat. I went to the dr. yesterday and they put me on antibotics. My surgery is a week and 1 day away!!! I am sure I am praying that I will be well before then. How long does your Dr. require you to be better before surgery?

  7. Thanks for all the replies. I quit today, I am ready mentally for a change. I have stocked up on Vapor "Cigs" and got me some gum so hopefully I will be able to stay smoke free. Thanks again!
  8. I am a smoker. Since making the decision to get banded I have tried to quit cold turkey. That didn't work so I started back up but cut back, instead of a pack a day I smoke 1/2 pack per day. This has been since about 3 weeks ago. Today I am ready to quit once and for all! I have a plan and I am sticking to it. The problem is my surgery is 3 weeks away! My surgeon recommends 6 weeks of being smoke free. Should I reschedule my surgery? Is 3 weeks long enough? Please help! Thanks!
