Has anyone else seen this commercial suggesting that HFCS is as safe as table sugar? I almost thought the commercial was a joke and could not believe it. Here is the website given in the commercial SweetSurprise - Factual Information About Common Sweeteners like Sugar, Honey and High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) . If you are interesteed in the commercial I am pretty sure it is on youtube, I just can't access it from work to post it right now. Thoughts anyone?

I think having the other forums is a good idea because even though the site is dedicated to the lapband, it gives others a place to chat without clogging up the main boards about their surgeries. Besides what is wrong with providing info to everyone about all surgeries? Everyone around here is very quick to point out that people should do their homework pre surgery, so maybe that will be helpful to someone else.

I am curious as to whether or not this is two pack of 18 for 36 total bars. The list price leads you to believe that you are getting 36 boxes of 18 bars, but for that price I can only imagine that there must be something wrong with the bars (like they are expired or something). Let us know how it works out.

I agree with this also. Abortion as birth control makes me want to vomit. It is one thing if you are doing all you can to prevent the pregnancy, but it is another if you just don't care because you can just get an abortion. They may not teach it that young but you would be surprised at how much kids *know* at that age. A few years ago I worked for a latchkey program in the city I grew up in. The things I heard from the girls about french kissing their boyfriends and dry humping and condoms absolutely shocked me. These were 3rd and 4th grade girls. It scares the hell out of me for my daughter to be that age. And yes we do need more education on AIDS and all of the other things that come along with the responsibility of having sex. Or it could be showing that some people make the choice to take care of their responsiblities. Whether her daughter is on stage or not, the fact remains that she is pregnant. And everyone already knows that now. I can't call myself completely Pro-life because I do believe in abortion in some cases. But I have a hell of a lot of respect for someone who gets themself into trouble and takes responsibility for their own actions. I know it was hard enough for my conservative Catholic parents to deal with telling people about their unwed 19 year old daughter, I can't imagine how it must feel to have to do that for a 17 year old on a national level.

I am sorry but you can't always blame the actions of a child on their parents. And in this day and age it is hard for me to believe that even with her Mom preaching "abstinence only", that Bristol Palin had never learned about what a condom was and how to use one. Kids are not always going to listen to their parents, no matter how liberal or conservative they might be.

So I am fairly certain that Jared has food poisoning. Poor baby was puking up everything I gave him yesterday. The only difference in what he ate and what his sister ate was a carrot that he got from one of his classmates. It might be a coincidence, but a perfect opportunity to teach him why you don't share food at lunchtime. I am running on about 2 hours sleep. BLah.
