  1. I am so sorry for the melt down drama guys. You all made me feel so much better. I had to cut away and stay in my room for awhile to chill out. Thank you so much for all the info and support.
  2. I am so trying not to get wound up like an eight day clock, but I'm having a hard time. Tiff, you are right. I know you are! Especially about the in and out. TMI...Struggled this morning with constipation (1st poo since surgery). Finally accomplished, then an hour or so later I was at the other end of the spectrum!! What's up with that? Anyway, this just has to work for me (surgery)! What else is left?? FAILURE!! I would almost rather be nauseous for the rest of my life then ever feel hunger again. Ok, breathing in and out. Sorry for the drama guys...it's just been a long and hard 6 days.
  3. I am 6 days post-op and am getting very depressed. I started another thread about how much cream Soup we should be able to eat at one setting and I feel like I've done this surgery to myself for nothing!!! I crave everything all the time!! That was my problem before surgery as well. I LOVE food...I used to joke and say, "I'll eat anything that doesn't eat me first!" I'm NEVER satisfied. If I could burn my tastes buds off, I would!! I still feel the same. This is so depressing to realize that I'm always going to feel this way! I can probably eat 1 - 1 1/2 cups. That's a lot, right? That worries me!! I fight head hunger all the time with all the commercials and seeing others eating. I guess I'm not one of the lucky one's who has lost their hunger. That makes me real sad. Someone PLEASE tell me I can eat so much right now because I'm on full liquids and they're just running through my sleeve instead of hanging around to tell me I'm full sooner!!!

  6. Thanks Lily (love your name). Do you know if there is a certain amount we should be consuming at meal time? Do we just eat until we're satisfied? Just don't want to sabotage my weight loss, if you know what I mean.
  7. How much cream soup (tomato, cream of chicken, cream of mushroom, etc...) should we eat at one sitting in the full fluid stage. It seems as though I can consume quite a bit and I'm worried that it may be too much. Any idea?
  8. I've spent the last 30-45 minutes choking down an 8oz Protein drink and 4oz MiraLAX and I so wanna barf! I woke up this morning with tummy issues so hence the MiraLAX. I'm so tired of SWEET Protein drinks. I am not a sweets kinda person. I do the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken Soup protein, but how much of the same thing over and over again can one take. I don't know how I will make it through the next 2 weeks on my Fluid diet.
  9. How far in to the REGULAR food stage will I be able to eat some chips and hot sauce? Please, don't tell me NEVER!! I love Mexican food and all the spices. I know I am a long way out from regular food, but my tongue waters daily for some salsa. If I can't have the chips will I be able to eat salsa on other things like chicken, etc...?
  10. Too funny! I had my surgery at Baylor-Plano on the 16th. Guess you don't include the surgery day as a post-op...oops! I have lots of friends in Rockwall. In fact, I have a sister who lives off Dalrock too. We really should meet sometime...lol Who knows, I may already know you!! lol
  11. I'm in Cowtown,,,actually downtown Fort Worth. I was born and raised in Big D. I've got your back Skinnyagain...we'll make it through!
  12. OMG...I chewed a pastiachio nut then spit it out. Just wanted the flavor too!! We have just got to get it together, sister. This monkey on our back is quite the fighter! WE CAN DO THIS!!! I think once we get to soft foods we will feel more satisfied and this too shall pass. Yes, it will require re-brain washing ourselves, but we can do it!!
  13. I must be your long lost twin!! I am incredibly sore in the left incision area as well. Our sister sleever is right. take your pain meds and take it easy. If it's not better by in 2-3 days call your doc back.
  14. We are two peas in a pod!! I made Chicken and Dumplings for my family tonight and it was very hard. I have also begun to realize just how many food commercials there actually are. No wonder we are the most obese country in the world! I'm ashamed of our food industry in America. SF popsicles are my only saving grace!! I have to say that my day started out so well when I started this thread, but then a few hours later I was feeling pretty bad. After a couple of more hours and a nap I was feeling better. I am extremely sore tonight. May have overdone it it today.
  15. I get 0% Fage and add SF Torani coffee Syrups to them. They have tons of different flavors. The only problem with some of the above mentioned yogurts is the sugar content. It may be low in fat or fat free, but we all know that sugar turns to fat. I also add the SF Torani Coffee Syrups to my Protein shakes, cottage cheese, etc. Yummy!! Torani Syrups
  16. Hmm...maybe you need a little cleansing of the pipes...just throwing it out there. I have back pain at times that seems to coincide with a # 2 (sorry for the TMI).
  17. Oh how I pray I am blessed in this way too! I always ate everything in sight until I was stuffed and was never satisfied. Always wanting one more taste. I thought if I could just burn my taste buds off, life would be better!
  18. Six days post-op and I am feeling much better. No more second guessing my decision to have been sleeved. Still very sore and have the gas pains but much more manageable. Hang in there, my newly fellow sleevers! We're on our way to being our very best "ME."
  19. I had a really hard time going to sleep until I took a Ambien (sp?). Sychadelic and Sara Ann, I wish you both the best today and for a speedy recovery.
  20. While in the hospital the nurses gave me liquid Lortab not for pain but to help with the gas pains in my new tummy and it helped. I have continued this at home as well. But when it wears off, the gas rears it's ugly head once again. Can anyone tell me how long this will last? I am now 6 days post-op and this is my major complaint. I was told to continue the Lortab for two weeks when I left the hospital even though the bottle says, "take as needed."
  21. I was just reading on signs that your new tummy is full and that was one. Maybe your sleeve is really swollen and cannot hold but a tiny bit. But I'm sure doc will be able to answer this question for you.
  22. I'm sorry, sister. Are you getting in all your fluids and protein? If not, that's probably the reason. We need the protein for healing and fluid for hydration. It is so hard to get in all that we need. I would call you doc and see what they suggest you do. Sending good thoughts your way.
  23. I am shocked you are already on mushies as well. I was sleeved on the 16th and am on full liquids for 21 days. I would go back to liquids and see if that helps. But I sure would call your doc ASAP to make sure everything is alright. I feel like hammered dog poo most of the time and I'm not even vomiting. I can't even imagine how you must feel. I feel just awful for you. I hope you're better soon.
  24. The 16th for me too Buckwheat. I think yesterday and last night were the worse for me. Today I seem to be able to burp a little...THANK YOU JESUS!! It does make you ask yourself....WHY DID I DO THIS?? But we will make it through. Walking has helped...slowly. My liquid Lortab is sooo disgusting so I stopped it yesterday. Bad decision! I was not in surgery pain but the gas was killing me. Then I remembered what one of the nurses told me in the hospital. She said that others had said the liquid Lortab didn't do much for pain but helped a lot with the gas and such. So I took it and I was finally able to get settled in and went to sleep. I hope you're feeling better soon too. I guess it's all "No Pain, No Gain."
