  1. I was able to eat just like I did before that band until my first fill. But I had to stop my self and how I did it was I would ask my self if what ever I was about to eat was worth $7,000.00 (The cost of the surgery.) The answer was always no and I would eat something better in small amounts. After 2 fills I eat 1-2 ozs at a time about 5 times a day. Hang in there, it will get better and you are worth it
  2. What have you all done about the stretch marks and shrinking extra skin? I would love to avoid surgery
  3. I lost 15lbs after my first fill and I've been pretty steady at 1-2.5 lbs a week. Sometimes it's slower than others but all in all it's been at least looseing. It will be tight and feel a little off at first. Remember to stop eating when you are full, that may be 2 bites or 12 but stop. You can always eat little bites more often rather than a lot at one time.
  4. You will find times where you just stop right before your next fill. Then you will start loosing again. Slowly increase your exercises and watch what you eat and how much of it at a time. IF you follow the instructions it will work. If you push food thru with liquids and eat lots of soft high fat and calorie stuff, it will fail. But it sounds like you are on the right track so far. GOOD LUCK!
  5. Hi! I was banded (Sounds like we are birds being tagged and released!) in Nov 2010 by Dr. Phearson at SoCal Bariatrics. I weighed 257 and I'm 5'5". It's now March and I'm down to 187! Platueing seems to be my biggest problem. I will stay at a weight for 3-4 weeks and then slowly start loosing again. Juat found you all so I'm hoping for some questions answered here
  6. I know it's hard when you hit the wall but don't let the food win! You are worth way more than whatever crap you are thinking about eating
