  1. How do you get all your great little creative things in your posts? like the trackers , etc?? love it.
  2. Hi everyone, I'm so glad I found you all. I'm here on the Vineyard and feeling very alone. I have friends that did the bypass but none with the band. Yet, the band seems the only way to go in my book! I'm just at the beginning of the trip. Gone to the all day consult and all think I'm perfect for it. Got my orders , and see the main DR. Jan 30. But I got to tell you that losing the required lbs, few as they may be is proving to be tougher than I expected! can't wait to be banded and get on with it!!! anyone here been to the Lahey Clinic?? they seem great, I hope! oh p.s., my bmi is 48
  3. Welcome! I wish I knew, but I think you just did! I'm still wondering around on the site trying to figure it out. I found a box at the bottom and just started typing! I think at the top of this page a link to "introductions" is where I was??? kind like the turnpike! good luck ! I'm still trying to figure out where BIDMC is or what it is?? any one gone to Layhe? I'm from the Vineyard and the trip is hell!!
  4. :nervous Layhe clinic, Burlington, but you have to go around Boston on one very bad section where they use the break down lane for travel. I's a nightmare! my first trip was dark, raining, rush hr. thick trafic with suicidal drivers!! it's what has kept me from doing this sooner. oh well, got to do it!
  5. Hi everyone, just found you and checking things out. Going through the pre-op stuff and working hard to lose those few presurgery lbs. I know a lot of local people who have had the by-pass but I'm out here alone going for the band in my area. Nice to know you are all here! will check in later when I get a little further along. at the moment my biggest "dread" is the drive to the city, the trip seems much worse than the surgery!!it's a long haul but I'm sure it will be worth it.
