Ok this sounds silly...but I actually did the same thing on lunch meat last week at a friends house....I was talking and eating and forgot to chew, chew ,chew...I knew instantly what I had done. I actually started to break out in a sweat!!...I felt it in my back something aweful....I didn't know what to do...and realy didn't want her to know what was going on so when she went down stairs to get the laundry I went and hung myself off the bed kind of upside down. the gravity made the food come back up.....Worked....not for sure if it happens again how many places will have a place for me to hang upside down, but just another technique we can put in our arsonal for another time-haha
Hope you are feeling better now

So that person has been put on a list where I will not here from them again.
So no prolems in the future from me.
Sorry if I upset anyone, I assure no HARM at all was directed at anyone.

I have had to spend a fortune buying new clothes and have done serious damage to my credit card. I also keep having to reintroduce myself as neighbours and other aquaintances don't recognise me.

Thank you. I definitely agree with you. Sometimes I let others sway my opinion or shake my confidence so when I see such negativity I get really discouraged, but you're right; it is very mental. All of it.
And I just got banded on the 15th. Best decision I've made in my life so far. Ten pounds down and 47 down since I started my journey and I've never been happier. Or healthier. I hope you have a good holiday and congratulations on the surgery! The staple removal was easy-peasy. Not painful and it was really fun because I got to see my stomach without the Patches on it for the first time, haha.

My first goal was to get under 100kg - done! My next goal is to wear a size 14. Currently at size 16-18 on the bottom, 16-14 on top but this time last year I was squeezing to get into a 26 so am well on my way! My other goal is to get off my last blood pressure tablet.

    Thanks for the reply's
Im still of soft foods... And I am a fast eater /drinker.
But now that I had the surgery I have slowed down when it comes to food.. The drinks I still drink fast.
    Maybe that's it .
oldiebutgoodie... Can't believe your friend is drinking Carbonated drinks??
What's the point of getting the surgery if your back to your old ways?
Im only 3weeks in , but I have been researching the Lap band for over 2 years. I thought we werent allowed to go back to sodas and others BAD things that put us here ?

What are your goals? Have you reach them?
What advise can you give to others to help reach their goals and stay on track ?
I was Banded on December 1, 2011 BUT, I set 6 goals for myself even though im only 3 weeks post-op .
I want to lose about 60 lbs plus.
    GOALS
My first goal was to drop 10 lbs...... and I did. Goal 1, COMPLETE (YAY)
Goal 2 Drop another 10 lbs..... 5 more lbs to go. YAY
Goal 3 drop another 10lbs....... You see where this is going .... lol
It's easier for me to say 10lbs each goal , rather then 60 plus lbs being my goal.
so I set 6 goals and only have 4 1/2 left. THAT WAS EASY !!
WHAT HELPS ME STAY ON TRACK:
Even though it's only been three weeks for me , i've noticed Im having troubles remembering to eat. I'm just not hungry.
BUT, I know if I dont eat every 2 1/2 to 3 hrs Im not going to lose the weight.
So what I did that's working out great for me is.. I set my alarm on my IPOD touch to go off every 3 hours. So every 3 hrs the alarm goes off and either its a protein shake or my 1/4 cup of food that's on my menu for that meal. THIS SEEMS TO WORK GREAT FOR ME. Now I don't forget to eat. and Ive notice the weight IS coming off faster .
    I hope that helps someone!!!
Good luck to EVERY ONE and HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU ALL !
I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING "LESS" OF ALL OF YOU LOL
