5 days out...hard to drink!
I was sleeved on Friday 2/25 and I had to stay an extra day in the hospital because i had so much swelling on my stomach that on day 2 post op, the contrast I drank for my swallow study stayed in the upper portion of my stomach. I am currently on a liquid diet and will be for the next month...My issue is that I feel so restricted!!! I take 4 sips of a drink and I'm so full. I made an 8 oz protein shake this morning and I still haven't been able finish it yet. The only thing I can take easily is SF Popsicle... Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? I am worried that I will soon be dehydrated badly and I ma probably breaking down a lot of muscle since I am unable to meet up with my protein requirements. I also want to mention that I have lost a lot of weight rapidly...I weighed 291lbs on the morning of surgery (5 or 6 days ago) and now I weigh 270.6lbs. Someone please tell me what to do!!!Thanks.

9 hours post-op. I'm not gonna lie to you, it sorta feels like I was hit by a bus
Yay!!! We're sleeve twins!!! I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. I just got discharged today because my swallow study did not go well at all on day 2 post op...I had too much edema and the contrast wasn't going down...that was my very worst day. I hope you're doing good...look forward to reading more from you.
