  1. Glad it worked out for you and you got through it. After removing fluid and being here for a month im ready for a fill
  2. Hi. Im 18 months out and a dlavor creamer addict. I am down 68 lbs and am finally trying to wean myself off. Im now doing a powdered protein shake in the am and using instant coffee and flavored extracts etc. working well for me.
  3. I had the same issue. Kept thinking it would go away and didnt. Couldnt get an appt either because of their schedule or mine. Finally about a month later i got in. Wasnt my Dr and he was rude to say the least. Unhappy that the staff had made Appt for me with him. Explained I was getting sick and he had the only available appt. Dr kept going on about it and finally said he was at a disadvantage. (at that point I was angry and felt I was the one at a disadvantage). He finally took out 1cc. Now I feel no restriction. Can eat anything. Am afraid of gaining weight. Not to mention the whole experience got to me in a negative way. I need help getting back on track and my head back in the game. I cant get a dill until Sept 6. Any advice out there.
  4. Had a horrible weekend and no one's fault but my own. 60th Birthday party for a friend on Saturday nite and Baby shower for my daughter in law today. Bad food choices, and too much of it and I feel like a slug. I can't do this to myself. I know the band is not an instant fix and I still have old habits to break. Here's to tomorrow and getting back on track and taking. I can do this!
  5. Hi Sandy, I'm 54 as well and was banded on 2/9/11 Just joined this site a week or so ago and everyone has been very friendly and supportive.
  6. I thought I was the only one experiencing this. I was banded on Feb 9 and had my first fill March 2. Really have to watch myself for fear of overeating and lack of restriction. I feel like I can eat more than before the fill and wonder if it's because of healing and swelling from surgery gone. Exactly how easy is it to stretch the pouch?
  7. Thanks for the encouragement. It helps alot. Scheduled for my 2nd fill this week and can't wait. Have had a rough last week and a half. Guests in the home with foods that I had elminated from the house because they were a problem for me. Now that they have left I can discard these foods once again and get back on track.
  8. I'm 54 year old mother of 4, grandmother of 5 and was banded on 2/9. I had my first fill on 3/3 and progress has been slow. Trying not to get discouraged. I have an appointment for a fill next week. Any secrets. suggestions or ? welcome and appreciated.
