Im scared and just wondering if anyone out here went through with sleeve surgery with the opposition of family members?

I have the lap band with issues... bcbs peehip has approved my revision surgery and my doc can do it as soon as next Tuesday or Thursday (my choice). Im so scared but ready! I lost 50 pounds with the band then stopped losing. Not sure I will have the support of my teenage kids... they worry about me bc they have seen all the problems I have had with the band... (frequent vomitting, pain, ulcers, etc) I worry they will just want me to get the band out!!!!

Was your second fill better? How many ccs are u at now?

Have you tried Dr. Mora in Prattvile (Not sure of his last-name spelling but he is a lap-band surgeon) Let me know. I live in Wetumpka and go to Anniston for fills. Wouls like something closer plus my doc has a lil attitude problem

I've read about it happening to countless others..... drop like crazy on liquids and then as soon as you move out of that phase it stops. Just remember up until your first fill, you are healing and no weight loss is expected. Any you get is just a lil perk. After first fill, it should drop, drop, drop

I had surgery on the 15th and have a huge bruise around the port and all of my incisions hurt, itch and are driving me crazy. Just watch for extreme redness, a little red is normal, yellow or green discharge......otherwise, I was told this is all normal and if you google image the term "lap band incisions" you will se some other people have the bruise

Hi. Sorry for the late reply. I am slow starting to use this forum. I was not required to do a pre-op diet. I am starting to hate this clear liquid stage. How are you and how did your surgery go? I am a working mom of 4 in Alabama.

I'm going in tomorrow morning for the band and have only lost 1 pound....so u aren't alone

Im just diving in head first!! Everyone's style is different, but for me, to think alot about it, just screws with me. I have to say...the 7 months I was required FLEW by sooo fast. I get band in 2 days and I cant believe it. I AM SO NERVOUS. Have a solid plan but dont worry too much
