  1. I personally suffer from a binge eating disorder, so I very actively work with an eating disorder program while I am on this journey. It is very worth looking into why you are eating what you are eating. Good luck!
  2. I converted on 8/21/15. My surgeon told me that if there was any erosion from the band that he would need to suture that up, and would not be able to do both. I was fine and had both done. I really trust my surgeon (especially since he is the chief of surgery at a good sized hospital), so I know he would not have done something that could cause more harm.
  3. Glad to hear things are going well. I did the revision on 8/21/15, and am feeling great. As for how long to take off, I also took two weeks off and am not sure I will actually use the whole two weeks. I definitely get tired more quickly, but that of course has a lot to do with the surgery and lack of calories. I did work hard to stay ahead of my pain, and used the meds as directed this time.
  4. Thanks for all the information everyone. My port has also flipped and we are discussing a replacement surgery. At most it is uncomfortable for me to do any ab exercises, and very uncomfortable during fills. I personally knew when it flipped the first time, when it flipped back and when it flipped again. It was not painful, but uncomfortable. I am on board with the surgery because I can't imagine not being able to do ab work the rest of my life.
  5. My doctor has me drink 3 glasses of skim milk each day as "snacks." This works if you like milk because of the protein and cuts down on hunger between meals.
