4th of July - WHAT WILL YOU WEIGH???

SN......................SW...........CW........GW..........kgs to go Plumptious............73kgs.......72kgs....63kgs.....9kgs (19.8lbs) I've been mucking about the last 2 weeks, so have only lost 1kg in that time - but it's Monday morning and time to refocus if I'm going to lose anywhere near 9kgs in the next 8 weeks!! On the other hand it's good to know that I can still lose even when I'm not being that "good"... bodes well for maintaining when I reach my goal (woohoo!!)

    Does size really matter?

I've been knocking back a horse-pill multivite since week 4 post-op, no problems (when I remember to take it, that is)
  7. I'm 6 weeks out today and have lost 8kgs (17.6lbs) as of this morning - am pretty happy with that. I'm hoping for a steady 1kg (2.2lbs) a week to get me to my goal. I sit here with my mouth open in shock when I see what some people lose in their first month, but I know that has never been the way the weight comes off me- so that's unlikely to change now. Just keep doing the right things, keep living your life and one day you'll be at goal. The scale is only part of life, don't forget

Easter Sunday - WHAT WILL YOU WEIGH???

Updating SN..................Starting Wt.......Current......Goal......Lbs to Goal Plumptious ...........84kgs ............74 kgs........75kgs.....under goal by 1kg (2.2lbs) Only 3kgs (6.6lbs) to go until I'm out of the obese category- aiming for that by my 2 month surgiversary on May 1st. Fingers crossed!!!! 6 weeks today since my op, so I am allowed to start doing some exercises - thought I'd try to do something with the non-existent tummy muscles. I used to be able to hold myself in a plank for several minutes at a time, but I don't think I'd make 10 seconds right now. I'll be working on it though!! Edited to add - ok, just went and tried out the plank - I made 15 seconds before collapsing on the floor...... pathetic, lol

    I feel like a looser

My boobs are shrinking FASTER than my tummy, sob

    I feel like a looser

I had surgery on the same day as you and have lost 7kgs (15.4lbs) and am happy as a clam about it. If I can lose a kg a week (2.2lbs) every week, then a few months will pass by and I'll find myself at my goal weight. You'll get there too - we just have to be patient, do the right things and our wonderful wee tummies will do the rest.

Easter Sunday - WHAT WILL YOU WEIGH???

Plumptious does the happy dance - Easter goal hit and 2&1/2 weeks to spare!!! SN..................Starting Wt.......Current......Goal......Lbs to Goal Plumptious ...........84kgs ............75 kgs........75kgs........ 0 !!!! Now for my next goal - I want to be under 70kgs by the time I fly to visit friends at the end of May - so 6kgs (13.2 lbs) to lose in 7 weeks - I can do that with my wonderful new tummy ps - only 4kgs to go until I'm just "overweight" and no longer "obese" - woohooo!!!

    March Role Call!!

Cindy - what a tragedy for your family to lose a precious little girl. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
  13. WOW what a great weight loss!! I'm a month out too, but have only lost 6kgs (which is just over 13lbs) but I lost a fair bit before surgery so am actually about halfway to my goal. It fascinates me as well to see how things have changed - the volume of food I could pack in before surgery was pretty piggy really (well I didn't get overweight by having a delicate appetite!) and I'm so happy to be full on a small portion. One egg and I'm stuffed full...... from someone who could eat a 3 egg cheese and vege omelette and be lining up for toast as well! I've never been a fast loser, but at least it seems achievable now without feeling deprived and "on a diet" - roll on (or off!) the next 20kgs

    1 year 4 months!!

Awesome!!! What a neat feeling to be tryng to STOP losing weight - can't wait until I'm at that point. The sleeve is a wondrous thing!
  16. Try freezing it in meal-size portions and then just microwave it when you desperately want a fix
  17. Thank you for adding the pregnancy progress thingy to your signature - now we can all share the excitement all the way through by seeing how bubs would be growing at each stage. Sort of like having a window into your newly growing tummy.

    Gallbladder and Sleeve

I had gallbladder and sleeve done on March 1st - and the surgeon was quite happy to do both at the same time. Who wants 2 anaesthetics a few weeks apart!!! My recovery wasn't text-book perfect as I had an internal bleed from the gallbladder site and ended up being transfused etc, so I'm pretty tired and washed out. The bleed wasn't totally unexpected as there is a whole family history of clotting deficiencies etc, so really had nothing to do with whether both ops were done at the same time or not.Just one of those things. I'd definitely be opting for the 2 in 1 op if I were in your shoes

    A NEW ME!

Welcome Sleeve Sister - I was sleeved on March 1st too....... I can't believe you've lost 20lbs already. Wow!!!!! I I'm enjoying starting on mushies - I've lost my sweet tooth lately and the protein drinks were getting to me, but greek yoghurt with some plain protein powder mixed in is going down a treat.
