Starbucks/ Panera Suggestions
Yikes, frappucinos hurt my stomach! I get a non-fat latte w 1 pump sugar free peppermint, 1 pump sugar free mocha and 2 equals. As for Panera, any salad is probably ok if you skip the croutons. And any Soup that is NOT creamy is good. I tried eating the baked potato one about 2-3 months out from surgery and I lterally got in 2 bites before feeling like I had a lump in my throat. Not to mention the fat content :X

Weight Gained Since Having Gastric Sleeve Surgery
I recently gained 5lbs and I know it is not just a flux... it is because I have been stress eating Made a decision to get back on the wagon and the good news is that I am feeling motivated to go to the gym. I went for a month or two with zero desire. Maintenance is way more scary than initial loss! I am 138 as of this morning. I was down to 132-133. Oh and I was 1yr post op at the end of December.

Post-op Constipation
I know you are only 4 weeks out but once you are cleared for exercise that REALLY helps with metabolism. And also getting in your veggies. My doc suggested 1 meal high protein, 1 meal veg, 1 meal high protein, 1 meal veg, 1 meal high protein. We obviously can't eat much so instead of trying to stuff yourself, just focus on one vitamin content item each meal. I have changed my diet towards this and it has helped tremendously.

Tomorrow 12/28 Marks 1 Year Since I Had Gastric Sleeve Surgery....
Thank you everyone! To whomever asked abotu the loose skin, I do have some but I consider myself very blessed... it is minimal. I notice it most on my lower stomach, but I also had a 9lb 5oz baby boy with excess amniotic Fluid... so I cannot blame being overweight entirely for that. And then for my arms, it is amazing what light weghtlifting will do for loose skin! DO IT!!!!! I also have some on my inner thighs and hips, but it is not "that" noticeable in my opinion. I definitely think I would be tinier if I didn't have it, but again, not complaining!!! And as for how I did it: diet, exercise, and medical intervention (I was on phentermine for 2 months midway through the year). But the past 3 months or so I have been very good about going to the gym, doing both cardio AND weights, and just eating pretty well.

I got it on clearance at TJMaxx and by the time I went to use it my coworker pointed out that the hinges were broken So I jerry-rigged them with paperclips!!! LOL. My beautiful, macguyver handbag

Tomorrow 12/28 Marks 1 Year Since I Had Gastric Sleeve Surgery....
I can't believe tomorrow is my surgiversary. My wedding photographer was talking on FB (she had gastric bypass last month) and she was saying how some people on her boards have lost 140lbs in a year. I thought about it and as of this morning, I have lost 107lbs this past year. I honestly cannot believe it. It is a goal that I have always dreamt of but didn't think I could reach... and then to exceed it. Absolutely mind blowing! Here is a little photo side by side she made for me that I thought was kinda cool! And then one of my family this holiday season... hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!!!

Hit goal!
Just wanted to say thank you all for the kind words and encouragement! This board has been a great resource for me and it is so great to share my experience with people who truly understand my journey. And to Kala, thank you! That means a lot to me.... I write my blog in the hopes that it can encourage, inspire, or sometimes just make people think. I try to be 100% honest and up front about what this surgery has done for me.
