  1. Oh That would be good. Well I hope that we both get our wish and have this done soon. I would love to keep in touch as we seem to be similar in size. GOOD LUCK!
  2. Hi Kimberly, when do you think your insurance is going to approve you? We seem to be about the same height and weight (given an inch and a few pounds). It looks like you have lost a little, what are you doing to lose right now? Good luck!
  3. I sure hope so! I am getting so excited to do it. It would be such a bummer if I couldn't. I really like this doctor from his seminar. They seem to have a very good post op support system in place. This seems to be very important listening to all the posts on the forums. It seems to be that when people dont have the post op support and correct fillings afterwards that they dont lose as much or not at all. Do you see that as well?
  4. I go for my doctor consult on the 23rd. I am 5'8" and 236 lbs, and have a bmi of 35.9. I am wondering if they are going to let me get the lap band. I am going thru self pay because I dont want to wait for insurance and they might not cover it anyway. The only things that I have wrong is back pain and bad pain in my joints in knees and ankles. I am wondering if I need to have some other medical problem if I am not over 40 bmi. ?? Has anyone else been kind of in my shoes as far as lower bmi and no co-morb stuff going on?
  5. Im glad your surgery went so well. I am hoping to get mine does soon as well. I have my consultation on 3-23. I am going to do self pay, so I am hoping that they can schedule me soon. Best of luck, look forward to reading about your success.
  6. I am hoping to be an April Bandster. My first appt. is March 23rd and I am on a FastTrack which means I am suppose to have the surgery about 45 days from my first appt. Hopefully that means April, but might be May. Now just need to get the money together. I dont want to wait for the insurance and they might not approve me anyway, since im on the borderline of 35 bmi. Wish me luck!
  7. Wow, Amazing ...Do you have any great tips as to how you did this. I am getting my band soon. I would love to hear how you did this.
  8. I went to Dr. Snyder's seminar on the 3rd of March and have scheduled my appointment for the 23rd of March. I have requested the fast track, which hopefully puts me having surgery within 45 days. Not soon enough for me. I am 5'8" and am about 235 (on my scale) which means I might be about 240 at the doctors office. I am not scared about having the surgery at all. My blood preasure tends to drop pretty easily like when I had my third child 7 years ago, but I am sure if they are told about that upfront they will take the necessary precautions. My ideal goal would be 140 - 150. Would be happy with 180. Anything over 20 would make me feel so much better physically. I cant wait to read some of your stories. The good and the bad. I can probably learn alot from the bad and get inspiration from the good. Will let you know what the Dr. says on the 23rd. Only two weeks away, but really want it to be tomorrow.
