LB's, You made me cry today!!!! .............I haven't really had any feelings about the surgery since I started the process of being banded, but today they showed back up. Reading your victories made me rejoice with happiness for all of us. I finally saw my FIRST NSV. I was freaking out. So, I start to telling jokes to hide my anixety and relax, the nursing staff was fallening out laughing. They gave me a card when I left and keep my family OVERLY informed. Soon to be Lanebryant and Ashley Stewart Ex, Uptwist

Hello Again Fellow Lapbanders, Thanks for the words of encourgement; More or less it will be another page in my life. I needed the encouragement from all of you because I KNOW my life is about to change and it is hard to move to the next page when you don't know the next word. Hello Everyone I am not sure of what I am feeling. Today, is my b-day and I just started my liquid diet because my surgery in on the 16th. Over joyed with happiness that I am finally set to get the surgery, but sad that I have to get surgery and I cannot eat my cake. Oh well, I am looking toward a healthier me. I need a lap band mentor because I am dying to lick a piece of steak with a side of birthday cake ; ) Can anyone give me some happy thoughts? Twisting a Lemon, Uptwist

:Banane09: Hello Fellow Lap-Banders, When I decided to start this process a year ago, I chose not to tell anyone what was going on execpt my husband. As the date nears, the reality that I may have to tell my parents, brothers and in-laws, I am not sure what to tell them. My 17-month daughter cannot come to the hospitial and I will need help with her for the next month or so because I "cannot" pick her up. I don't want to be questioned or freak out my family; I am not sure what to tell them....What should I tell them? As far as the nay sayers (people at work); I am not telling them. Other than the fact that I have complained about the herain surgery....Nothing else should be said. Can you help me? Uptwist
