  1. Thank you all so much!!! The reason I asked about cleaning the belly is that they told me to use an anti-bacterial before the surgery, but I saw on here a while ago people mentioning a certain product.
  2. Mine is at 10:00!!! I'll be looking for you on here to see how you did! Good luck!!!
  3. Thank you so much! I was required to do the 6 month pre-surgery weigh ins. I went to my seminar on December 15, 2010. Had my initial appt with the surgeon on December 15 and went to my family doctor to discuss what I needed him to help me do on December 16, which was my first of my 6 visits required. I then went once a month and on May 3 I had my last visit and weigh in. I then went to the surgeon's office on May 4...signed my papers, met with the nutritionist and they scheduled me for surgery on May 24. They submitted all of my info to the insurance on May 5 and I got my approval yesterday. I did everything I needed to do, never missed an appointment of any kind and I am almost six months to the day of when I started the process. It may seem like a long time to wait and I was so disappointed when I found out about the 6 month process but know I am grateful for it! Best of luck to you <3!
  4. Just got approval! May 24 for me !!!
  5. I got my insurance approval yesterday and I am scheduled for surgery next Tuesday....May 24th! So many emotions are flowing right now....excitement, nervousness, anxiety. When I went to my seminar in December and was told this was a 6 moth process, I almost died. Now, I am 50 lbs lighter going into surgery and so much more knowledgeable. I am thankful for the 6 months I had to do! I need some pre-op Words of Wisdom...any tips, advice, etc... Also, what did everyone use to clean their belly area before surgery?!?! Thanks so much ) !
  6. I made copies of my weigh-in book...the stickers that they put in your book. Do you not have them any more?
  7. I will be banded May 24, 2011. I have lost 47 lbs at WW since Jan 19, 2011. I have also lost a total of 90 lbs at WW since 2008...gained and lost twice actually ! What I am having a hard time understanding is how you can eat 29 points and flex points after being banded...that could be a lot of food if you eat healty. They way my Dr and Nutruitionist talk to me, I will only be able to have 3 small meals a day and no snacking. Is this not realistic...3 small meals?!?!
  8. Hello everyone! I was soooooo happy to see this thread! I have not ben banded yet, but have a tentative date of may 23, 2011. I am currently a Weight Watchers member and have been for 3 years. I have lost 80 lbs on WW with MANY gains in between. I feel as if the band will be a tool to help me keep losing and help keep the weight off. I still have a lot to loose. I was hoping for some feedback on what banders think about me having been doing WW for so long before my surgery...do you think it will be a benefit to me after surgery? When I am on WW, I do it hardcore. I am also an avid exerciser. Just getting really anxious as my date is quickly approaching. Any feedback would be so appreciated! Thanks )
  9. Thank you so much!!! Looks like you are doing very well on your post-surgery journey! Congrats and good luck the rest of the way!
  10. Hello Everyone. I began my Band journey in December of 2010. I have a tentative surgery date of May 23/24, 2011. I have lost 80 lbs on the Weight Watchers program since 2008. I gained 40 of those pounds back last year. Since January 19, 2011 I have lost 35 of those 40 lbs. As my surgery date approaches, I am so filled with anxiety. I know I can lose this weight on my own but I cannot keep it off. I am already doing the right things in the food and exercise department. Do you experienced Banders think that this will benefit me once I have the surgery? I guess I am just looking for some feedback from Banders who had succeeded at losing weight before the surgery and how that experience helped them afterward. Thanks in advance! Tracie ) Also...How do you add a picture to your profile?
