I'm on YouTube as well. I too find it therapeutic to talk about what I'm going through. I'm dadutchessofdork on YouTube- Waiting on approval
My papers have only been sent 1 day and I am so anxious! I dont know how I am gonna wait! *eek! Meanwhile, August 30, I will have my Tonsils and Adenoids removed and a Deviated septum fixed. Ugh! (*in my Rob Schneider voice) You can do it! [obscure Waterboy reference, LMAO!!!] But I mean it! you really can. start out slow, learning the game as a non-skating official and then tryout when you feel comfortable. The best part is, there's a Team in almost every city! Even in Australia!!!- Whats on YOUR skinny list?!!?
OMG I just marched with my Roller Derby team in the Pride Parade, here in Chicago on Sunday. I walked about 4.5 miles!!! I didn't get too winded cause we stopped a lot. But MAN my thighs were swollen and bruised when I got home!!! I had to use cortisone and and ice pack. So I wanna add the thighs to my list.- Whats on YOUR skinny list?!!?
Awesome! You can do it! And you'll have so much fun too! BTW here's my list: 1. Do the Susan G Komen breast Cancer walk 2. Go swimming at least once a month in the summer 3. Ride in the World Naked Bike Ride in protest of oil dependency 4. Become a skating referee for my Roller Derby team- Whats on YOUR skinny list?!!?
I love that you have a weekly sport on your list. For the same Reason, I joined My local Roller Derby team, as an official. I thought is was a good way to be social (Im a bit introvert) and its a good opportunity to do something that is both fun and NOT SEDENTARY. I get a lot of exercise in Derby because it requires you move around. Girls of all shapes and sizes participate as skaters or officials. You should consider the Awesomeness of Roller Derby.- Any Chicago Bandsters?
The only problem I am having is with my psych. Supposedly they are experts at dealing with United healthcare. The website says my eval will be at their office. But I was given a referral to 2 doctors, who didn't take my insurance and costs $300. So I tell them and im referred to two more with the same issue. So I called my insurance for a referral, a giant hassle. I am still trying to get it scheduled.- Any Chicago Bandsters?
PS I set email notification ti email me when people respond to things. It's in the settings- Any Chicago Bandsters?
Wow! How'd it go with Dr Elli?- Any Chicago Bandsters?

Hi! Im also going to Day One Health, but my insurance required a 6 month diet. Im on month 4 and Dr Elli was really great when I met him. I have heard/read good things about him. OMG i Know how u feel! 3 people at my job with the same insurance plan did not have to do a 6 month. Of course I did. =( i was so sad for abt 3 weeks. Im on my 4th month and i have been researching and getting other stuff done (like sleep studies, pych eval, etc.) you will appreciate this time. I should have all these things in time for my 6 month dietician appt. Dont worry, it will be worth it in the end! =) Starting Out: 211 lbs 5'5 BMI 35 Initial Consult: February 25, 2011 Nutritional Consult: February 25, 2011 1st Sleep Study: April 23, 2011 2nd Sleep Study: May 29, 2011 End of 6 Mth Diet: July, 2011 Paperwork Submitted TBA Date of Surgery: TBA Goal: 140 lbs - 71 lbs to lose- Diagnosed with Sleep Apnea today
I was diagnosed today. Its bitter sweet because it makes me realize that I am even less healthy than I thought I was. At first i was thinking this makes me definitely eligible for my surgery thru insurance but I may have to have my tonsils/adenoids out as well. We'll see...- surgery incisions effecting my life
Yea, it sounds like it has little to do with the incision and more like an excuse. Im mean, you had surgery less than 2 weeks ago. what should it look like? - Anyone else on youtube?
