  1. I am getting banded in 10 days. I realize that I am doing this to make a change in my life and will need to eat properly. That said, Ii was wondering, which foods I will not be physically able to eat again EVER. I know I shouldn't but will I be physically able to ever eat/drink: - a piece of steak - a slice of pizza - a beer - a few bites of cake - a nacho - a cashew I am committed to eating a proper diet but I hate to think I will never taste these items again. Any other foods I will never be able to physically digest again? What is your experience?

  3. Hi, I am new to this forum and I am considering getting a lap band. My BMI is roughly 33. I have gained 3 lbs per year for the last 20 years. I now have high blood pressure and cholesterol problems. My problem is I don't get a full feeling until I have eaten a lot. I work out 3-4 times a week and eat a normal diet - some good, some bad stuff. I will need to pay for the surgery myself since I do not have a 35+ BMI. Anyone out these have a similar situation? It seems to me like the surgery will help me to get my eating quantity under control and that will help with my overall health. Any perspective would be appreciated.
