  2. I haven't seen him much. But apparently the Mercy Hospital office doesn't do fills if you havent lost weight. I think it's backwards and I'm considering going elsewhere for fills.
  3. Thanks for responding. I'm looking for a fill doctor too. Mercy only gives fills if you lose weight, which i think is backwards. I'm looking for a new fill doc, but I'm willing to pay for fills.
  4. Help!!! I've had a pain in my chest since yesterday morning. Its not reflux or heartburn, it's just a pain in the middle of my chest. I ate a piece of fish yesterday morning and the pain started. I'm going to call my surgeon tomorrow. In the mean time I want to know if any of you have experienced this and what did you do to relieve it. I've tried gasx, walking and hot beverages. I've been on mushies and liquids yesterday and will be doing the same today. PLEASE HELP!!! P.S. It hurts and throbs worse when I bend down. Thanks for all of your help!!!
  5. I know I responded to this a few months ago, but my mindset has changed. No, I still don't have restriction but I had to realize something. FILLS ARE NOT THE KEY TO WEIGHT LOSS! We are the key! Yes, fills help us have restriction, but we still have to eat right and get up and exercise. Now, I don't deprive myself of any foods, unless I know it's going to get stuck, but I do stay between 1200-1500 calories and I exercise 30-90 minutes a day for 5 days a week. The scale is moving. I'm at the point now that if I dont' hit my sweet spot for a few fills, I'm ok with that. I'm losing weight and because I know I have the band, I don't go overboard with my eating. My husband made some really healthy black bean chili. It was sooooo good. Guess what? My band didn't like it. I ended up throwing it all up later that night. And I know why. I ate 2 bowls of it. Bad bad bad. So even though I ate healthy I ate way to much. LESSON LEARNED FOR SURE!!! LOL
  6. That is sooooo awesome!!! Congrats!
  7. That's cool that you got a fill so fast. I had to weight 7 weeks. I hope I can get a fill every month. because I'm getting discouraged because Im barely losing weight.
  8. I was banded Jan. 7, 2011. I'm 6 weeks post op today and I had my first gain. I made some bad food choices and also didn't exercise like I should have. Its hard...it's like being on a regular diet because I feel no restriction at all. Did anyone else feel this way? How did you get through it?
  9. I just discovered this Forum and was so happy I did. I was banded Jan. 7, 2011. I'm 6 weeks post op today and I had my first gain. 10. I was banded January 7th. Banded Hell is the worst! I can't wait to feel restriction. I don't get a fill until March 1 and I know I'm going to need a couple of them. Sometimes I get discouraged, like I did this surgery and got cut open and I'm just on a plan diet right now. I can't wait until I can actually use my band as the tool it was intended to be.
  11. Hi, you and I have the same doctor. I was banded Jan 7, 2011. How are you doing? I heard that Dr. Rosett doesn't like giving fills. Have you experienced this? I don't go for my first fill until March 1.
