  1. Gas x is a life saver...I was banded on 8-30 and I don't get to start puree until 9-13
  2. I forgot to mention....space vitamins and each calcium a few hours apart so your body can absorb them....
  3. Accurate is supposed to say acitate..sry
  4. Take 3 calcium citrate per day....chewable of course...calcium accurate wont absorb make sure its citrate...congrats on ur success...

  12. my port hurts when i bend ... I was bending over to tie an elderly ladies shows and it must have pinched or something...very painful..
  13. I researched this yesterday. Caffeine decreases healing time and increases stomach acid production. Both we dont want....But I am dying for an iced nonfat sugar free caramel macchiato

  15. pre op diets seem to vary depending on the surgeon. Mine wasnt that bad. I followed it to the T. I started 2 weeks pre op. I drank 3 protein shakes a day and had 2 meals a day that included 3 oz of lean protein, 1/2 cup non starchy veggies, and 2 cups of salad( no ice burg) with 2 tbs of dressing.
  16. I am post op day 6....Use Gax X to help with the rumbling. Walk, walk, walk.....you will be drinking the entire day and you should have chew able multivitamin and 3 chew able calcium pills per day....You have to space them apart. I have one before breakfast, one before lunch, one before dinner, and finally one before bedtime. I am drinking the required amount of fluids along with 3 protein shakes a day. For my full liquids i am allowed two a day. I ma drinking one V8 vegetable juice and eating one Greek yogurt per day. Dannon has a really great greek yogurt in a blue container. Greek yogurt has more protein than regular. i was constipated until i took one dose of milk of magnesia. Im feeling great...
  17. the pain is coming from the gas the inserted in your stomach during surgery. It goes away soon. Walking can help to discipate the gas. Also you can take Gas X if you need to.
  18. i was recently banded....but I do know that all types of things affect the hormones in your body. Stress, surgery, and weight loss just to name a few...Enjoy it

  22. i agree with the post before. Intake of adequate protein is crucial. Walking will provide you with more energy also.......
  23. I think the gas is finally gone 4 me.....I just walked a mile on the treadmill. I tried some greek yogurt today....tasted great with a good amount of protein...very full
  24. I have started feeling better everyday ...banded aug 30....I just walked a mile on the treadmill . Feel better friend
  25. hi I was banded 8/30....nice to meet you....im their with you on the pre op diet.....my mush doesnt start till 9/13
