I was told today that I have a diagnosis of sleep apnea. I was shocked a little to hear this. As a nurse I deal with this issue with my patients all the time. But to have the diagnosis myself upsets me a little. The good thing is, is that if I wasn't getting these pre-operative testings done, I would have never known. I just have to get my psyche eval completed and attend a support group; so I'm almost there.
I can imagine how you feel. I would probably be feeling the same way. I'm praying that all goes well while you're waiting (can be nerve wrecking). But just try to stay positive and if you can try to distract yourself as much as you can. Wishing you the BEST!!!!!
hello everyone. I'm new to the forum. After about a year of thinking and researching about the lap-band, I decided to pursue it. After attending a seminar, I was informed of the three types of WLS. I was wavering over the options but decided that the lap-band would be best for me. I believe the least invasive WLS would benefit me best.I have started the pre-op testing & hopefully all will go well.I really expect to be successful. I don't have small children but I want to be healthy for them and me. It seem that I will be able to get a lot of info and support from this forum.
