I am also 3 days post op. I feel so much better than I expected. I was really the bloated the day of and the next day. The more I walked the more it went away. Now I really don't feel bloated at all and my gas pains are almost completely gone. I even went to Target today just to get out of the house. Good Luck!

December 15th! I just got my final insurance approval today. I can finally let myself believe this is really going to happen. I'm getting excited and nervous!

This is a total disaster! UHC Choice Plus is now saying they DO NOT cover bariatric surgery! My doctors office called at the begining of thisprocess and they said my policy covered it. Now a week before my surgery the insurance company is saying they do not cover the procedure! The doctors office is now getting the hospitals insurance people to help find out why things changed. What a disappointing mess this is!

I am scheduled for March 11. I am just waiting for my insureance approval. Hopefully I get approved quickly and can have the surgery sooner. I only have to do a week for the pre op diet and it can be any type of protein drink.

I called my ob/gyn for weight history because I didn't see my primary doctor for 2 years while pregnant and after having the baby. I heard that UH was very strict about having a 5 year history. My doctors office submitted all my paper work today to United Healthcare. Fingers crossed that it all goes well!
