  1. I have been banded for more than a year now. I have lost 25kg but depression got me months ago which got me eating sweets and stuff. I am back to -15 from my original which makes me a gainer yet again. I am now finding it hard to lose weight again. I do not know what to do anymore. How did u do it? I mean, i am inspired by u but i can't seem to translate it into action...
  2. hi guys. i'm carl and i'm glad i saw this group. reading your testimonies helped me a lot. For Banded: 1. When did you undergo surgery? 10 January 2011 2. Who was your doctor and where was it performed? Dr. Ferdinand Samonte, DLS 3. How much did it cost you and were you covered by insurance or you paid for it with your own money? If insurance, what was your insurance company and what process have you undergone to be able to claim the benefit. I don't know, my mom paid for it. 4. Give your medical background before and after surgery. It was my first experience to go under the knife because I am diabetic. I, so far, lost 10 kg from 110 to 100. hope i can take part in helping this support group, too. am really excited to lose weight.
  3. hahaha! i feel exactly the same thing, my shoulders are hurting and i hiccup a lot. i thought it was abnormal. although, my fingers are numbing for a week now. i wonder if anyone here has an explanation. it could not be my diabetes because the doctor told me to stop my meds until i'm allowed to eat solids. i have been banded for 2 weeks now. i am 27, by the way, and from the philippines. nice to meet you all here.
  4. it is my second week post-op and i still feel a little bloatedness sometimes. my doctor just allowed me to eat Pasta after 2 weeks of pure liquid diet. i have already lost 11 kg and my recovery is good considering that i am also a diabetic. my doctor is very firm when he says "ambulate, ambulate, ambulate!" even when it causes me to get dizzy sometimes. he even urges me to go to the mall, walk around and eat sugar-free ice cream if i want to. you will be okay in a while.
