  1. Im also super late on the thread, but Special I am also being banded by Dr. Feiz at Cedar's. I will be 24 in March. I would love to hear more about your experience. I live near LAX.
  2. Hi Stacy. I too had this same dilemma today. I went as far as even calling my doc's office and changing my choice to the sleeve. After I sat down and actually thought about it though, I realized that I let my excitement and other people's opinion get the best of me. I was totally content with the band before people started with their bad opinions about it and how the sleeve is much better. I too have been to the other forum and read about all the switches from band to sleeve, but when it was all said and done, I realize that the band is better for me. Just because it didn't work for them, it shouldn't discourage me from doing what I already had my heart and mind set to do. I trust you will make the right decision for you as I have made for me. I called the doc's office back and told them I'm sticking with the band. Best of luck my dear.
  3. Thanks you all. You are absolutely right. I'm going to stick with my first mind and proceed with the band. I'm just waiting for my surgeon's office to compile my information to submit to my insurance. I can't wait, hopefully it doesn't take to long as I am EXTREMELY anxious!
  4. Ok, so up until this point, I have been so looking forward to getting my lapband. I've been obsessing over this sight and all the wonderful information and experiences it provides. So today, I'm just minding my own business and stumble across a post about how this person so regrets the band and if they would have known, would have opted to get the sleeve instead. That was followed by dozens of posts of people who agreed. Even those who were happy and extremely successful with the band. Now I'm turn and not sure what to do. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  5. Good Job Maybe! I only hope I am as strong as you when my time comes for that
  6. Hi and thanks for your response. Did you have to pay anything out of pocket, if so how much?
  7. Hello there Bandsters. I am brand new to this site. I had my initial consultation with Beverly Hills physician, but was told due to my insurance (Anthem Blue Cross) that I had to go through Dr. Feiz's private office since he is in-network. So far I have made a few calls to them only to be told by Susie that she will call me back without actually doing so. My insurance assured that they approve pretty quickly and I really want the process to be as soon as possible. Any idea of the out of pocket costs, I can't afford much. Any info about experience with his office is greatly appreciated. If you have Anthem Blue Cross, even better! Thanks~Signed hopefully banded ASAP!
