  1. I would definitely do it again! This is the only thing that has helped me lose more than twenty pounds and keep it off. I have also been overweight since I was about 9 or 10 years old so this has been a total lifestyle change. I am more critical of what fuel I put in my body now, rather than just eating to stop me from feeling bad about how overweight I had become. Like someone said before, if you have food addiction problems and are an emotional eater then a therapist would help your journey as well. If you follow the rules to this process and don't cheat often then it will work for you. My heaviest was 325 last March when I started my pre-op diet. This morning I weighed my lightest weight of 203 and I know that I could not have done that without the lap-band. Good luck on your journey! Jordyn
  2. Hi Vanessa! I was banded on 4/1/10 and I am also from Dallas. Don't worry about the lack of energy right now, I seemed to start feeling like I had more energy as I got closer to the 30-40 pounds lost mark. And some days still I have no energy but now it seems more to be connected to what I am eating (junk or stuff thats good for me) and if I exercise. Good luck on your journey! Jordyn
  3. Natasha I'm the exact same as you!! I'm also 20 and never been on a date. I was around 325 and a size 24 when I was banded and am now 208 and a size 14. There were no boys looking at me before and none looking at me now even tho I feel as if I could be comfortable dating now. Why is this????
  4. Just wanted to introduce myself...My name is Jordyn and I am 20 years old. I was banded on 4/1/10 at 325 lbs. I am now 207 and struggling to get to my goal of 165! My surgeon was Dr. Nicholson at Baylor in Plano, TX. Looking forward to making new friends who understand exactly what I am going through!!!
  5. Hi Everybody! My name is Jordyn and I am 20 years old. I was banded on April 1, 2010 at 325. I am now around 207 and struggling to get the last 50-60 pounds off! Has anyone else had the same problem when they get to this point or am I just weird? Glad to see some people who are much closer to my age with a band! It seems like no one at my dr's office is under 40.
