  1. Funny you mention this! I went to get fitted cause I thought; "since I am losing weight my boobs are shrinking"! I have always worn a DDD! Well.. I lost weight around but I guess my cup size went up! I am supposed to be an F Cup! I nearly fell to the floor!
  2. I am sorry to hear you all have so much fluid in your bands and not much restriction! I have 2 cc's in my band and have great restriciton. I get really tight around my period and have a really hard time eating, so I couldn't go any more than 2 right now!!! I wish you all the best!
  3. I usually have 2 Meals ( I have a hard time with breakfast so its always a protein shake) But then 2 snacks... focusing on the proteins! Cheese sticks, yougarts, peanuts, ect! I try to eat every 3-4 so I stay on top of the hunger and don't over eat!
  4. Hello Fellow December Bandsters! It has been a while since I have posted anything! But for anyone who has seen my posts or knows of my name, I have an update! I have lost 71.4 lbs and I am finally UNDER 200 LBS! I went to the Dr on Thursday, No Adjustment for me! I still only have 2 cc's in my 11 cc band! I have great restriction and I am too tight around my period time and in the mornings. I take a Multi-vit, Calcium w/ vit D, BeneFiber, and 2 B-12's DAILY! I have a protein shake for breakfast every morning! Small lunch and dinner, and yougarts or cheese sticks for snacks. Dr's extremely happy with my progress and states I am doing better than MOST bypass patients! How great does that make me feel! I was in a size 24, now I fit comfortably in a size 18, I can squeeze into a 16 and button them, but still a bit tight! I went from a size 26-28 shirt to a 16-18!!! I feel amazing! AND....I can actually cross my legs like a lady when I sit! Well, if you are on blogger, follow me and read up on my journey! I can follow you as well if you are new! Take care, Mandy
  5. For my Breakfast I always have a Protein shake. 6 oz.. i switch it up everday. strawberry or chocholate. lunch today was 1 tbs spn of whole linguini w/ alfredo sauce 3 oz chicken. (leftovers) dinner, was going to have hamburg, onion, green Beans, tomato w/ american cheese (i make a sub w/ it) But, No bread anymore. But I had difficulty today with the hamburg. GRRRRR... So I resort to a shake... Yesterday Breakfast - Strawberry Protein Shake Lunch- 1 egg and 1/2 slice toast w/ jelly Dinner was the Chicken and Alfredo linguini umm...hope it helps with some kind of idea.
  6. Thank you all... I worked my ass off to get here! A few struggles along the way! But I sure did work it! Wish you all the best of luck on your journey!

  10. Welcome Laura, Congrats on the weight loss! That is amazing... Keep up the good work!
  11. Congrats to your NSV! Keep up the good work!
  12. I am 2 months post op and have alot of gurgling. I didn't have the gurgling until they gave me my first fill. I had to call the dr to take the Fluid out! I eat or drink and I gurgle. Its really annoying. It does not happen when I am sleeping though. Take care and good luck on your journey.
  13. my weekly average range is 4-6 lbs! One week I only lost 1 lb b/c of my fill..(weird huh)! YES thats what happend though.
  14. I am going to be honest with you all~ Since surgery I have a difficult time eating. I can take a few bites (LITERALLY) a few bites of my dinner and be full! I had a fill (that made me sick) I couldn't eat...I have great restriction without any adjustments. I am losing about 5 lbs a week...(I haven't really been working out) except my sit up's on my exercise ball and 5 minutes on the treadmill...But lately at work I am on my feet ALL DAY LONG! Its just being more active...on my feet, moving more, thats all. But i am not taking in much calories... I have given up coffee, the taste makes me sick...Its all the empty calories that I am no longer taking in. I stick to protein and veggies. I have had a few carbs, but its not worth it cause they don't keep me satisfied long. I know not many people are lucky to have restriction with out a fill..but I am one of the lucky few. Follow my blog below...
  15. You will be a success! I finally hit my 50 lbs goal! Just made it! Super happy! I tell everyone about it! I worked very hard for it! I need to share it!
  16. I just wanted to share with everyone...I have now lost a total of 50lbs! I feel great! I can't believe it! I haven't seen these numbers on the scale since before I got pregnant with my son! Almost 6 years ago! Its absolutely AMAZING!
  17. Well this morning I had to call the Dr's office for them to take out the 3cc's of Fluid that is in my band! I am having such a hard time with the gurgling noises. Hopefully since they emptied it, it will feel so much better!!!!
  18. That is a really good one! I hate Chaffed legs..or thighs..or anything for that matter! I haven't worn a dress or a skirt in years...(last dress I wore was for my wedding) and it was only on for the ceremony! LOL. Congrats to you on the go!
  19. There should be a confidence class for us! I am not sure how to deal with it either! But you must be losing weight for the dr's to notice! Keep up the good work!
  20. Hello Floridays, I live in MA, and its been doing nothing but SNOWING! Its below freezing and honestly I am always thirsty! I feel like I can't get enough water! And my Water has to be partly frozen, I stick it in the freezer for a bit. Since surgery I have a huge dislike for coffee (which I used to be so addicted). I tried teas and hot choc. But I think its just hot beverages! I can't seem to drink them! If you add crystal light you should always count that as a water! Even your tea and coffee. They are both made out of water!!! Good Luck!
  21. Congrats Melzie! My husband too told me I am losing my "LOVE HANDLES" boy I won't miss them! But I guess he already is! LOL! Keep up the good work! And I want to hear more NSV's!!!!
  22. I have to agree with you about people not having any restriction! Honestly! I would assume that when they put the band in the small pouch they made should only be able to hold a little bit of food! And the band should only allow small amounts at a time to pass through! I have had good restriciton since the begining too! (fluid stage was a different story though) I felt like the shakes never really satisfied that hunger! But with solid foods I can barely eat! I can't even eat a full meal!
  23. Non scale Victory! Meaning besides watching the scale go down....other thngs that we overcome or feel victorious!!! (if that is even how you spell it)! LOL. Since I have lost 45 lbs I can now paint my own toe nails (and neatly)...LOL. (a NSV)!!!
  24. Congrats Swan! I love getting those comments, although I don't quite know how to respond, but blush and run away! LOL. This morning one of the girls at work said I looked really cute today! "Thanks," as I run for the door! I don't have much social skills, LOL...might need a few lessons. With all the years I lack confindence b/c of my weight! Lets keep the NSV's coming!
