  3. I was also banded a week ago and am experiencing the same thing. I took some glycolax which is a prescribed laxative...waiting on it to work...good luck
  4. StephC, I am actually very, very :hungry: but otherwise I am doing fine..thanks. I have doc appt tomorrow to have staples removed...tomorrow will be 1 week. when did you all start the soups...i am so looking forward to that stage
  5. It takes a lot of willpower and dedication. It was pure torture for me on Xmas day when everyone was eating the dinner that I helped prepare and I was sipping on broth. I had to do a lot of praying and a lot of talking myself out of trying anything. As hard as it was it would have been worse if I had tasted food that I couldn't have....never liked being teased...hang in there guys...can't change what's done..everyday is a new day...just try to commit yourselves to a fresh start and pray a lot
  6. hi prosebud and welcome...you are doing a great thing by recommitting yourself to the band..

  8. Hi everyone, I was banded on 12/21..My preop weight was 207. I had the gas pains also but was relieved by gas-x. I was dehydrated from doing too much during xmas holiday and not taking in enough fluids. That was a wake-up call for me. I am now resting and taking in the fluids so that I can heal and looking forward to sharing this journey with my fellow bandsters jannmack

It is 542a and I've been awake for about an hour. I was dehydrated yesterday. I was so busy trying to fix Xmas dinner for my family that I didnt take the time to eat/drink the necessary fluids. That won't happen again. It has been 5 days since surgery and even though I researched the lap band surgery thoroughly, nothing could really prepare me for the real deal. One oz every 20minutes is a very new process. This is a new journey but I am truly blessed and grateful that I have family and friends that are cheering me on. I have a long hard road but I am so ready.
