  1. I was banded in November. Have only lost 15 lbs..-/+ . first fill 3 cc (7 weeks post op) 2nd fill 1 cc (6 weeks later) -I was very frustrated as I was hungry and wanted more Fluid Tuesday 1.5 cc (6 weeks later) and had to have 1.1 removed this AM as nothing would go down (not even water). FINALLY- today - tonight.... I'm not starving, 1/2 normal meal filled me up. Hubby eating in front of me and I was like "yuk"... I think its just a long...slow process until you hit that "sweet" mark. I did not believe it and was soooo frustrated and ready to pull it out! Regarding your 8cc~ I would ask the doc to verify.. that sounds like a lot with no restriction Hang in there
  2. I'm in!! Thank you for doing this
  3. Call your insurance company and confirm this is not an "extra clinic charge(s)" that are not covered by insurance but the doctor bills YOU separately. (number should be on the back of your insurance card)

  6. I'm so glad you posted this. My surgery was 11/22nd. First fill was 2 weeks ago 3.3cc and I hardly have any restriction. I have lost about 13 lbs .... I feel like I eat the same I did before just slower! Have you lost any weight?
  7. Feeling GREAT! 16 pounds so far and I'm at a stand still these past 3-4 days. I have had no fills and band is empty. Doc said first fill will be first week in January as he wants me to enjoy holidays (I'm torn between enjoying holiday's or fill and get going) Good luck to ya

  11. Getting frustrated.... any help please.... My surgery was Wednesday 24th. Today is day 3 and doing better with gas pains... now onward with the hungry belly..... I have heard I should be on liquid only. However, yesterday was a bad day and I felt like was going to lose it and put anything in my mouth!! Therefore, I phoned the doc yesterday and he said start mush diet and we will see you Tuesday (7 days post-op) I was shocked when I heard this... If I stick to the liquid diet... What do you drink? How much? How often? Any help is GREATLY appreciated

Still feeling bloaty from the gas and the only sore/painful area is the port. Started mush today about 3 table spoons and I feel bloated/cramping... is this normal?
