I was approved a few weeks ago to have surgery.I am coverting from a band to the sleeve.However wondering if i will be down a couple of weeks or a month...Hope all feel better

How long is the recovery

HI, I was banded 2010 and have very little sucess with my band... Mainly because I can not tolerate the fills... I have a 10cc band with only 3cc's max. I am in the process of insurance approval for the sleeve but I CERTAINLY have doubts and fear. It would be great to have advise from anyone has had gone through the process of converting . Thank you

No painkillers...Phone Sorry....Im converting because I cant tolerate the fills...I havebeen going back and forth for a few years and finally my doctor says band is not for everyone.I have 3cc in a 10 cc band and cant get anymore for some reason

Thinking of having the sleeve done... Banded in 2010 and not thrilled with results. Is this something commonly done? Or should i try harder?

Brianna, I went and got an unfil .25 taken out the exact amount I had put in and now I am fine....My chest and back was uncomfortable from being to tight. I am 2yrs in and only at 6cc cannot tolerate anymore. I hope you can see your doctor soon. Amazed to what lil cc's can do.

I was wondering if anyone experience discomfort in chest area if band is to tight? Its not a hurting feeling but more so a tightness feeling.

Hello everyone, I got a fill on yesterday of 0.25 (drip) and now I feel a little tightness...I can drink Water,have a little reflux...My question is...Should I wait to see if it gets better or should i go have it removed? I have a total if 6 in my band which i felt i comfortable but I was becoming hungry often and was able to eat more than norm...What do u suggest?

Congrats...I was banaded around the same time and still no major changes...My biggest struggles are know what foods to eat... I get bored really fast.. Any advice on foods will be great...EVERYONE STAY BLESSE!!D

I believe the results are better .... I am thinking of doing it. I just found out my friend had it and she has lost 54lbs in 4 months. Good Luck

Hi, Everyone Just wanting feedback on the Plication Technique....My Dr. is doing this procedure and the weightloss is greater for patients who had the plication vs the band.... What do you think?

I had Acid Reflux before getting my lap band. My Doctor repaired a large Hiatal Hernia also. Since I have had my band my Tongue and Mouth still burn and sting (a sympton I had from the Acid Reflux). Sometimes after eating I still have this sympton with Fire coming up my chest. My doctor says there is no way I could have Acid Reflux since I had the Hernia repaired and I also have the lap band. He has had me drink barium infront of the x-ray machine on several occassions. In the beginning you could see the barium go to where the Hernia repair was and then it would shoot back up to my throat. My doctor said that was because of the Hernia repair and the swelling I had in there. Since then, he has done 2 Endoscopies on me and wants to do one more. I really do not want to have another one done. It was painful especially the second one. Does anyone else have this type of problem? I have been burning since last night and have been drinking Malox but that does not help much.

Hi, I received a fill on 05/08/12 ...I feel a little tight...Can eat little (mash pots and slimming a lot ) I was wondering how long does it take for my body or comfort to come after a fill.........I really only had 3 fills that worked ...I haven't been to the doctor in 6 months until yesterday so i am trying to maintain this fill... It seems I cant do the fills I always have to return for an unfill...SMH

Going on liquids for 2days and try at this band again...I believe I am failing the band the band is not failing me...NO fill since October but still cant eat much therefore its my poor choices... Going to get it right one way or another down 45lbs since banded...Any suggestions

I dont think it's mind over matter when I dropped 9lbs in a week from an overfill but Thank you
