She's so not nice...
I really need to go back to the doctor but they don't let you see the doctor (sugeon) you only get to see his PA who is not nice. And NO I don't expect to be babied, I am an adult and can accept the consequences of my actions... BUT I also don't appreciate that snarling attitude, you know the one some medical professionals have... You're a fat slob with no self control" So, here I am procrastinating and not calling and really wanting help but not wanting to suck it up and make an appointment with the MEAN Lady who has no sympathy for FAT people. All I am really asking for is support. Yeah, I've likely screwed up, but I have also lost 120 lbs! We all stumble sometimes. I just want to be able to go in and say, hey, what can we do about this and let's do it. I will try to follow the rules better if you will be NICE to me! I really feel like they put the band in and said there ya go! Have a nice day. Anyway... Tomorrow I am going to suck it up and call. I am going to try really hard to get the see the doctor. Thanks for letting me vent!

how do you know if something is wrong?
I've never PB'd, Never thrown up, been "stuck" maybe twice since I was banded in Dec of 2006. I have 9.5 cc's in a 10 cc band and I can eat just about anything I want. I am so frustrated with that but even so, I've lost 130 pounds. (Thanks to Dr. Atkin's). Well last week, I went to get a fill and the evil fill PA said if I can still eat whatever I want after this fill I should get an upper GI. So now I am all worried about that, I don't want to go see her because I don't want to admit to her that I can eat two gooey cinamon rolls with no problem except my guilt and self hatred. Really, I just did that and all I feel is full. No pain, no gagging, nothing. Do you think that there could be something wrong and I just don't know it? Or do you think I would have felt something if something was wrong? Thanks for your support. KRistin

Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp
I so hope I get restriction tommorrow! Fill #2. I have been bad (I feel like I am always confessing to being bad) but I will start over tommorrow! My plan for tommorrow is Get in all my water, have a shake for breakfast and dinner and a light lunch. I think I will get some yogurt to eat for a snack. I will walk tommorrow!

Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp
Hi Cassandra, welcome to bootcamp! I am glad you are here! I am sorry you took offense to the Sarge's comments but please be assured it is only intended to help you be better. I call her sarge because she calls me on my flaws and doesn't let me get away with making excuses! I think that is why it is called "bootcamp". Hugs,

Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp
A CONFESSION I have lost my motivation...It want kaput. I am waiting to get a proper fill (I have only had one) and actually know what restriction is and in the meantime, I haven't kept to the banster rules. Now granted, I eat a little less than pre band but still not like I should. Today I had an egg mcmuffin for breakfast, 1 1/2 oatmeal cookies, whopper jr. with cheese and small ff and a piece of cake. When I used to eat breakfast at McD's before it was egg mcmuffin, hash browns, breakfast burrito and a coke. or at BurgerKing it was a full size whopper lg ff and coke. But that just sounds like I am trying to justify, which I am not. I go for a fill a week from today, I sure hope I get some restriction then. I have been drinking with some of my meals and not chewing well, I need to get prepared for when I do have restriction. So anyway, I felt the need to confess my sins and start over.

Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp
The depo shot made me a psycho. I was so bitchy and so uninterested in sex that it put a real strain on my rel. with my hubby. I read somewhere that depo is what they give criminal sex offenders to chemically castrate them. And I gained about 60 pounds. I did like not having a period though, that was nice. I am in need of some form of birth control until hubby gets snipped but I so do not want to do hormones. Can you tell me more about your IUD. What is it like to have it implanted and do you have any side effects?

Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp
This probably just worked because my child is weird...(in a great way) but we (really she) got rid of the soda like this: She went to the dentist and the dentist told her that soda is like acid and rots her teeth, he even gave her a list of soda and how much acid they have in them. She has not touched a soda since except for 1 time at the movies and she chose sprite because it is less acidic than the others. I don't know if info like that would help him but maybe.. Now if I can just get her to kick her chicken nugget habit.

I've told everyone about my surgery. I am just so excited by it and I have nvever been able to keep a secret. Mostly the support has been great, but sometimes I wish I hadn't told others because I think what if I fail or that they are watching what I eat.

Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp
Oh boy I missed you guys today!! I was at a training and couldn't get to my computer. Everyone is doing so good. I wish I could say the same, but I can't. It has become apparrent that I didn't get any restriction from my first fill, which was expected. I also expected to be able to go back on tues to get more fill, since that is what the PA said, but when I called today they said she is out of the office so it will have to be the tuesday after next. grrrr. Here is my report for today...I laying it all out to get my wooppin" shake for breakfast a whole club sandwich for lunch with a bowl of fruit a pastry after that a bag of pistachios a bag of cashews 2 pickles 1/2 c hamburger helper. No Exercise, Maybe 20 ounces of water Avilla can you share your secret, you always do so good with your water. Bandida, best wishes on your surgery. It really is a breeze!

December Bandsters in January!
I made something good for dinner tonight, though I'd tell you about it. I cut up a chicken breast into bite size pieces. Put it in a bowl and mixed it with 1 tablespoon heinz 57 sauce and 1 tablespoon honey (like a marinade). Then I sauteed it in pam in a skillet until done, poured the remaining sauce over it while it was cooking. The chicken was good and tender. This was my first solid meal and so far it seems as though it went down fine. I ate a whole chicken breast and 1/2 c veggies, so I am thinking I don't have much restriction from my first fill. I will give it another day to see.

December Bandsters in January!
I was wondering where you guys had gone and then remembered the new thread...I feel like an idiot!! I had been here but not posted so it wasn't in my subscribed list. I got my first fill yesterday. The PA in my doctors office does it by feel (no fluro). It was NO BIG DEAL. Hurt just a smidge when the needle went in and is a little tender this morning from her pushing around on it to find it. She hit the port on the first try but it wasn't quite centered so you could hear the needle clicking on the plastic. It felt quite strange and I could feel the band getting tighter. They made me drink Water to make sure I could. I have to be on liquids for 24 hrs, then one mushy meal and then solids. They said most people don't get restriction on the first fill and I could come back in as little as a week if I need. All in all it was no big deal, and I was in and out quickly. I was so worried I had gained weight since my 2 week check up but I was relieved to find out that I lost a pound since I last weighed!! I also fit into a pair of jeans at Catherines, the button and zip kind not elasticky kind. It has been so long. Before, the only clothes aat Catherines that fit were the ones I could stretch a little to make fit and now I can wear all of the 5x's. I am totally excited!! I am going dancing on Friday Feb 2nd and really want something new to wear. I don't have any casual cute clothes, just junk or office wear. Any ideas on where I could find something?

Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp
Hi guys...home from getting my first fill. It wasn't too bad. It hurt only a little but felt really weird, really the first time I noticed the port and band. I got 4cc's in my 10cc band. They said I probably wouldn't have any real restriction yet, but we'll see. I hope I get a little at least. I had some victories today. The first one was that I just knew I had gained weight but I hadn't gained any at all and had even lost a pound!!! Also, I forgot my blood pressure medicine today but my blood pressure was good, wondering if the 34 pounds is already having an effect on it. Another success, I went to Catherines and was actually able to fit in a pair of jeans (not the elastic kind either). I haven't been in a pair of jeans in I don't know how long!!! So all in all I had a GREAT DAY! I was also relieved to find out that if I don't have restriction by thursday they will see me again on tuesday for another fill!!
