  2. Hi All! My name is Melissa...I'm 35 and I've been waiting on this surgery since April. I know that doesn't seem long but I've been approved and ready to go with just one complication that could have been avoided. Long story short, I've switched surgeon's (loved the 1st one though) and my new surgery date is August 25th! I'm so excited and getting nervous! This is my 3rd surgery date so I've been mentally ready before...luckily though, no going back on this one. So, I'm a mother of twin girls that will be 5 in December. I've struggled with my weight for about 17 years. Right before I got pregnant, I had dropped down to 175lbs on the Atkins diet. As soon as I had the girls all bets were off and its just been a daily struggle. I'm at my heaviest ever right now pushing 300. The last time I was on the scale I think I was 293. I'm so ashamed of what I've become as a mother and a wife but I can't wait for this journey and look forward to becoming what I need to for myself and my family! In 2 days I start my liquid diet which is going to be VERY interesting since I leave for vacation in 4 days! Please keep me in your thoughts On top of being a mother I do work full-time as well. I love my job.....I'm goin to miss being off work but I plan on peeking in from time to time.....I'm hoping to only take 3-4 weeks off as there are many things going on at work. Well, I don't know much else to say tonight....I hope to be here as a support, sounding board or whatever anyone needs.... Good Night
  3. So, I'm curious to know from the initial seminar to the surgery date how long did it take everyone to get a date? I've been putting off going but my PCP has been telling me that I need to go. So, I have my seminar visit on the 13th. I'd like to get the surgery done before the end of the year so I don't have to start another deductible...
