  1. The protein drink I love is Atkins Advantage. It is 160 calories for the whole can and only 1 gram of sugar. It comes in chocolate and vanilla and both are delicious.
  2. Hello everyone! I have a dilemma and I need help desperately. I was banded on Jan 12 and I do not even feel like I have a band. I can eat everything and anything and everything goes down easily like before. I also have only lost about 15 pounds. I feel guilty because it was my birthday yesterday and I overate and I had no problem at all in eating. Are all of these things normal? I am having my first fill on Feb 22 so hopefully things will change and I will feel some kind of restriction. I also don't understand why my dietician didn't tell me that I could eat normally and without restriction before my first fill. I know that there is no saline in my band now but am I supposed to be able to eat freely like before the surgery and will things change after the first fill. I hope so! Please give me advice because I am really worried!
  3. Hello all, Its been 10 days since I have had my surgery. I am following their directions to a tee and exercising but my weight loss is very slow. How much should I be losing in the first two weeks and how many total calories am I supposed to be eating. Do you all see a dietician to guide you or just eat a set amount of calories? I need to know since I really want this to work!
  4. Hello, I hope you can help me with this question. I was banded about 4 days ago and they told me liquid diet for the first 48 hours and then soft mushy food for about 4 weeks. I was just wondering if there is a calorie limit you should be on in the soft mushy food phase. Do I need to see a dietician about this. What did you all do to be successful on the lap band at this stage. Am I supposed to eat only three meals per day and what is the caloric limit? Help!:help:
  5. Hi everybody, I was banded about 4 days ago and I have a question about water. They say that I should be drinking 64ounces per day. I heard that you should sip it slowly and take one hour to sip even 6 ounces and if you don't then the pouch will stretch and become too big. Is this true? Also, after the first fill, is it more diffficult to drink water? I take certain medications which require me to stay properly hydrated and I need to drink a lot of water. How much and how quick should I be drinking water. I am confused!:help:
  6. I was banded last Friday(January 12) and one day later, I am in intense pain from gaslike symptoms. I feel the gas travelling all throughout my chest and abdomen and its a horrible feeling. In addition to this gas pain, I have pain in my incision sites. Is all of this normal and when will I start to feel better again? I am taking gas x but it doesn't seem to help. Please give me advice on what to do!:think
