  1. I have an infection as well. My surgery was 11-4. I am hoping its just an issue with the stitches and nothing that will hang around for any length of time. I am using triple antibiotic as well. I see my dr again on Monday. Probably going to get my first fill then. We'll see
  2. Oh Sherry, THank you I will..........I have so many questions. Look for it privately from kellydeford@comcast.net
  3. I need a partner. I am NOT liking navagation of this site. It is hard to find what I am looking for and I need just to have someone to speak to directly. Anyone interested in just speaking banding with a married 41 yo female?
  4. I do believe that Iron Sharpens Iron but I am a female, and married. Still interested in online buddy? When were you banded I am looking for someone with at least 6 months experience as I was banded last week. Let me know.
  5. can you tell me how to add a weight ticker to my messages?
  6. Robert, I walked, I stood instead of sitting. I took GasX and the gas has gone. Perhaps, it just hasnt been long enough. I did take liquid lortab to stop the pain. Perhaps that made the difference for me. I do have a question though, can you feel your band? I only feel my port.

I think he is rude, but that's just me. Sometimes I think doctors and surgeons have an arrogance about them that makes them think their perfect. Like "I did the surgery laproscopic, if your having pain there must be something wrong with you". It is absurd to think that you would have surgery and experience no pain. I was kind of afraid of a bm as well just because of straining. I did not experience any problem so try to relax. I also have not taken tons of pain meds. For one, I am on liquid lortab and it tastes like crap! 2, I just feel the more I move around the better I feel. Of course, I am only 1 day ahead of you so I have zero experience... LOL but hang in there. Know that there is something that you can take to ease your pain and I found that standing helped alot even if I didnt move.
  8. My surgery was Thursday. That day I was only able to have ice chips. I did really good. Found that if you go ahead and get moving you will feel better. The worst part of the surgery is the gas they use to inflate you. It causes the bloat and the pain you feel after surgery to lessen. The more active you are the better you feel. I would like to know more about people's port. Where my port is there is some swelling. I would like to know if it feels like it is protruding from now on. Friday I had the upper GI. Wasnt as bad as the pre op UGI.....I guess. At least it isnt chalky and you dont have to drink as much. Slept good Friday night. Doesnt hurt to lay on my side which is a good thing. Ate creamed etoufee today that my husband cooked. It was SOOOO good. He is a treasure to be so creative. Best meal in 10 days!!!:smile2:
  9. This was an encouraging post. I am very happy for you. It was perfect timing as I band on Thursday. (Today is Tuesday) Best wishes for reaching your goal and keep in mind, your positive posts will mean something to someone.....possibly for years to come.
  10. Today is Sunday before my surgery. I am anxious and my back is hurting. Tomorrow begins clear liquid. Today has been a struggle just to feel good. Woke up with a headache and had the cold sweats all day. Hope tomorrow is easier.
